Continuation of Thread 7.

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or "Has anybody noticed this recurring theme that keeps coming up??" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions in the supermarket, grr"- that sort of thing).

Same reason they are all trotting out the same specious arguments about pronouns.

That Guardian piece reminded me a bit of Morecambe and Wise: "Please come and see this play wot I wrote".

You're surely not suggesting that people whose whole life mission is to enforce conformist behavior don't think for themselves?

On an age note, RMW used "The Equalities Act" repeatedly and as a barrister, versed in law, he really should have known the proper name of the Act.

I don't follow boxing at all, but I certainly remember the name Frank Maloney. But I had no idea about Kellie; that completely passed me by.

There were loads of Kellie Maloney autobiographies in Poundland a few years back 😁

Oh bloody hell 🤮 Why are men so gross?

Are there still weird little societies that give animals medals for performing brave deeds? Eely seems to have very nearly gnawed its way out, and surely deserves recognition for that. Mr Nasty will never be the same again, which is just as well. I hope his medical insurance refuses to pay up and leaves him bankrupt.

The article says it bit him enough that he'll need a colostomy bag for the rest of his life.

I fear eels. A lot. I sort of hate them because they're just wrong. I'm afraid I can't feel sorry for the eel in this story because of the former and the fact that my anus is currently almost non existent as it contemplates someone trying to put any eel but especially one of that size up my bottom.

The chap deserves all the pain and everything else coming to him for being both cruel and an absolute idiot.
