No. You're not going to get to rewrite history.

I've never signed a petition so fast. Wouldn't it be better though as a parliamentary petition rather than change?

Good to hear from Allison. This can only help her case against Stonewall.

Thanks to everyone for the links. That picture is so sad. I've seen it many times, it never fails to shock. Those poor girls.

Allison Bailey has read the article:

https://x.com/bluskyeallison/status/1779209777777705077?s=46&t=WHoOZ_3Kv5G6-FyQuvE0LQ

"1/ According to Ruth Hunt CEO of Stonewall until 2019, “It’s perfectly legitimate for Stonewall to advocate that position [that transwomen are women]. It doesn’t say ‘trans women are women’ and if you disagree, we’re going to do something terrible to you

https://x.com/bluskyeallison/status/1779209779644105132?s=46&t=WHoOZ_3Kv5G6-FyQuvE0LQ

"2/Well, Ruth, I did disagree and Stonewall did something terrible to me. On 21 October 2019, Stonewall wrote to my chambers (a few months after you stepped down as CEO) demanding that I be sacked, shamelessly leveraging Stonewall's influence to do so. https://allisonbailey.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/PH-Bundle-pp-331-2-Stonewall-Complaint.pdf"

https://x.com/bluskyeallison/status/1779209781359644825?s=46&t=WHoOZ_3Kv5G6-FyQuvE0LQ

"3/ Whether Stonewall's actions in soliciting my removal from chambers was unlawful under the EqA 2010 is the subject of appeal to the Employment Appeal Tribunal. That Stonewall sent this letter to my chambers is not in dispute. All because I disagreed that TWAW literally."

https://x.com/bluskyeallison/status/1779209783163097258?s=46&t=WHoOZ_3Kv5G6-FyQuvE0LQ

"4/Ruth, I watched you in the House of Lords recently as you talked about how hard it was coming out, the battles you had to fight. I too had to fight those battles, a decade earlier. I also had to fight to become a barrister. None of that mattered to your organisation though."

https://x.com/bluskyeallison/status/1779209784777961717?s=46&t=WHoOZ_3Kv5G6-FyQuvE0LQ

"5/So, please, stop lying. Stonewall under your tenure, and as a result of the actions that you took, turned into a shameless, vicious and dangerous organisation. This is your legacy, Ruth.
Ends"

A barrister does not tweet that last tweet lightly. She is almost daring RH to go after her for defamation, but I suspect RH has just about too much sense, it being English law that:

it is a defence to an action for defamation for the defendant to show that the imputation conveyed by the statement complained of is substantially true.

There's quite a lot of interesting stuff in this presentation, actually.

Is it archived? (Somebody explained to me how to do this with videos and I've forgotten.)

@NecessaryScene Is it you who has the knowledge, and, if so, can you share how to, please? Apologies if I've mis-remembered.

If anyone is looking for the petition to "Strip Ruth Hunt of her peerage for her role in the gender medical scandal" then you can google that phrase or find the petition in the petitions and activism page on mumsnet.

Bloody hell. Still on the religion question, she is talking about using children, using teenage girls, training them to be campaigners. 'Using' is verbatim.

We all knew this would happen. The reverse ferreting, the pretending that they never said the things they did (and for which the internet has receipts), the insistence that they didn’t mean no ‘arm, gov.

I just didn’t expect it to be so fucking shameless.

James Esse posted an image where the nspcc / childline were working with mermaids to facilitate online web chat spaces etc.

Mermaids described teens using WhatsApp to remain in touch after residential weekends.

NSPCC keep being recommended for support for children who've experienced harm via WhatsApp groups

Crikey.
Thanks Warrior.

nothing to add, just wanted to remind people there is an opportunity to call for her to be stripped of her peerage

GC5 · 14/04/2024 00:23

I cannot begin to properly express how furious I am about Ruth Hunt’s attempt to re-write the KEY part she played in all of this. If anything, her time at Stonewall was ground zero for all this. It was Stonewall that started this and she was firmly in the driving seat.

I have had the absolute misfortune of having had to deal with her. She and her partner run an equality and diversity type programme that somewhere I used to work brought them in to run. She met her partner when the two of them oversaw the change at Stonewall from a gay rights group to a trans rights group. About half their staff left because of it.

Some of our staff, including me, left our org after the work Ruth and her partner did. Not content with spreading their dangerous bullshit at Stonewall they did it at my old workplace too. I say we left, but actually it was made very clear that anyone not toeing the party line would be pushed out, so we jumped before we were pushed.

Before this article, I at least thought she believed her utter nonsense, but watching her lie and obfuscate about the part she played fills me with contempt for her. Her utter lack of integrity is astonishing.

StealthSpinach · 14/04/2024 02:09

Ruth Hunt’s peerage should be removed immediately.

JKR should receive one (or the equivalent) immediately.

Sunlight directed by JKR has indeed shown the faces of evil.

MountCaramel · 14/04/2024 06:24

This has all been motivated by egos, greed, money and big pharmaceutical companies. All political parties should divulge how much money they received from the gender fascists.

I read on another thread on this board that a wealthy gender believer also donated ££ to the Labour Party. Now is the time to do a foi request to discover how financially enmeshed Labour is with this shit. It has been completely infected with this fascist gender ideology from the inside Out.

Snowypeaks · 14/04/2024 06:45

Genderist big business has probably donated to all the major parties. But we do need to know more details.

Me too. I agree a parliamentary one would perhaps be more effective.

Heylo · 14/04/2024 06:48

There’s something really insidious about Hunt. And you’re right, it’s one thing when these gender fanatics believe it, there can be an element of pity they’re deluded but her behaviour now, her obvious reference to Carmichael when she said ‘we trusted the experts’ demonstrates the complete lack of integrity and willingness to save her own skin at any costs.

im a lesbian and Ruth hunt is despised by other lesbians living in London who are 35 plus .I mean we think she’s vile. As a gay woman she was responsible for so much of what we have to endure now where these men are in our social spaces. There are literally NO lesbian spaces left in London. There’s a witch hunt for terfs in the community. I can’t emphasise now much women despise Ruth Hunt in my community.

thats before you even touch what she’s to kids.

prison, every single last one of them.

edited for typos

@Snowypeaks the wealthy, influential donor is Anthony Watson and he's given £££ to Labour. He also donated to Dawn Butler, Peter Kyle and Wes Streeting. Read below:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_Crusade

How very unusual and somehow not that surprising…

Interesting article.

“A History of the Crusades (1962) generally follows Munro's conclusions, and adds that there was a psychological instability of the age, concluding the Children's Crusade "remains one of a series of social explosions, through which medieval men and women—and children too—found release"

And this.

“Many historians came to believe that they were not (or not primarily) children, but multiple bands of "wandering poor" in Germany and France. This comes in large part from the words "parvuli" or "infantes" found in two accounts of the event from William of Andres and Alberic of Troisfontaines. No other accounts from the time period suggest an age at all, but the connotation with the two words give an entirely separate meaning. Medieval writers often split up a life into four major parts with a variety of age ranges associated to them. The Church then co-opted this classification to a societal coding, with the expression referring to wage workers or labourers who were young and had no inheritance. The Chronica regia Coloniensis, written in 1213 (a year after the crusade was said to have taken place), refers to crusaders having "left the plows or carts which they were driving, [and] the flocks which they were pasturing", adding to the idea of it being not "puerti" the age, but "puerti" the societal moniker. Another spelling, pueri, translates precisely into children, but indirectly means "the powerless".
