Not sure if he’s still on here, but @Glinner, thank you so much for being an ally in the true sense of the word. Thank you for everything you sacrificed in the name of truth, science, and female equality. I hope the Cass report gives you some vindication, as it has done so many of us. The tide has turned, the emperor is naked. Thank you for believing and supporting GC women from the start.

Thank you @Glinner for standing up and sticking to your principles.

As we have seen, there very few heroes - you're one.

So glad you’re still here Glinner! I also bought Tough Crowd. It’s always proudly displayed on my coffee table, and subscribe to your Substack. Fantastic you have finally been vindicated. Let’s hope we’ll see Father Ted The Musical at our Theatres soon 🙌

Me too!

@Glinner - thank you 👏

DameMaud · 12/04/2024 09:11

My thanks too, Glinner

All through this mad moment, I've seen you as the archetypal court jester.
Entertaining all, and then bravely speaking truth to power.
Only, to the loss of the kingdom, your words weren't heard and you were vilified.
It's seemed Shakespearean level tragedy to me!
But. All the world's a stage and all that. And you've played your part magnificently.

Those who read the story down the line will know you for the hero you've been.

Zeugma · 12/04/2024 09:14

Just adding my twopence-worth. You’re a hero to me @Glinner (well, you were anyway for Father Ted alone) and your book was at the top of my Christmas list last year. Thank you for fighting for us when so many others turned their backs, no matter the cost to yourself. And still you persist - I felt quite emotional seeing that picture of you with Sall Grover the other day.

It was @Glinner that enlightened me a few years ago too, I followed on Twitter because I was a big fan of Father Ted and The IT crowd.

I've just bought your book - thank you ☺️

I know this isn't quite what the thread's about, but I fucking looooove Father Ted.

StellaOlivetti · 12/04/2024 09:22

Hear, hear. The man is a hero to me.

Pudmyboy · 12/04/2024 09:22

Another thank you @Glinner , you absolute legend!💐

OnHerSolidFoundations · 12/04/2024 09:24

Buy the book folks!

DialSquare · 12/04/2024 09:25

Thanks from me too. Another one hoping things get a bit easier for you career wise.

I went to see the Happy Mondays on Sunday night and during the interval, Ghost Town came on. I immediately said "please stand up for the national anthem"! This coming from a late 60s born tom boy who loved Ska during the 70s and 80s (still do) and dressed like a skinhead. My ring tone is Too much Too Young. But rather than think of my youth, my immediate thought was Father Ted! That's the impact you have.

Teribus21 · 12/04/2024 09:28

Yes indeed. Thank you Glinner. We love you.

KitchenSinkLlama · 12/04/2024 09:30

Thanks you @Glinner for your unwavering support for women and girls. And for Fr Ted too.

Lovemyassistancedog · 12/04/2024 09:52

Usually I lurk but I'm logging in to say a big 'thank you'. I've just bought a hard copy of your book. I really hope you can resume your life in TV and comedy again. You really deserve all the good things I hope are coming your way.

Teacupsandrollups · 12/04/2024 10:02

Can’t match the eloquence of some of some of these posts, but… thanks @glinner

BoudiccaOfSuburbia · 12/04/2024 10:04

Of anyone in this cause you have experienced horrible unjust material and emotional losses, but remained true.

Immeasurably grateful.

Villagetoraiseachild · 12/04/2024 10:12

Lordy, Graham, you've had seven types of sh*t thrown at you and yet still you continue to shine. For you have covered yourself in glory.

You journeyed through the underworld with us on this for so many years.
It will never be forgotten.

Viksono · 12/04/2024 10:36

Thank you @Glinner there’s so many times I wouldn’t have blamed you for just being like fuck this and continueing on with normal life, but you kept going despite everything and continued standing up for women 🙌

NeedToKnow101 · 12/04/2024 10:50

Thank you too Glinner, vindicated at last. Fight not over yet of course but getting there. Not read your book yet as I have a morbid fear of hardback books, but I think it's in paperback now so I'll buy it asap

Sameratdifferenthat · 12/04/2024 10:58

I can't thank you enough for what you've done, Glinner. It was through following you on Twitter that I became aware of the whole shit show. God bless you for fighting for the truth, no matter the personal cost to you. You're a great man. Thank you.

Cailin66 · 12/04/2024 11:19

Graham Linehan is one brave man. And way before trans he was brave with his wife Helen for Irish women. In a time when it was not wise to be brave.

I subscribe to his substract to support him. Was blown away to see a picture of him on Twitter in Australia giving a big bear hug to Sall Grover of the Tickle V Giggle court case. There is no end to the support this man brings to women's battles. One's we shouldn't have to undertake. This trans one is even more important because of all the damaged children.

anyolddinosaur · 12/04/2024 11:20

Sorry but I'm not really a fan or either Father Ted or the IT crowd. However I've watched every episode in the hope you may some money from them. Just put the IT Crowd on again on netflix.

Thank you for all you have done for women and children.

Citrusandginger · 12/04/2024 11:25

Adding my thanks. I hear you were right all along.

SidewaysOtter · 12/04/2024 11:35

#GlinnerWasRight.

BarbsBestie · 12/04/2024 11:37

Absolutely.

@Glinner thankyou sincerely.

crunchermuncher · 12/04/2024 11:40

Thank you for all you've done 🤍💚💜🍻

My husband bought me your book for my birthday - best present I got xx

IWilloBeACervix · 12/04/2024 11:44

I hoe when Father Ted the musical does open we can have a ‘TERF’ night, where the audience is made up of middle-aged women in adult human female T-shirts.
