KjK "insane rant" thread 2

AdamRyan · 03/04/2024 18:10

First thread filled up just as it was getting interesting

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5036512-kjks-insane-rant

So let's keep it going. My characterisation if the two basic positions are:

1)KJK is a stone cold legend, haters gonna hate but many women will give her cash to bathe in champagne

  1. KJK is taking right wing positions for clicks and cash, most recently criticising a doctors conference to stay relevant.

Happy to discuss further. There are some particular posts I want to respond to which I will c&p below

KJK’s insane rant | Mumsnet

Kjk’s decision to attack everyone who is not her lapdog is increasingly destructive. It looks like Can-sg put on a great conference. Those doctors who...

And if that's the case, maybe she could help herself and communicate across channels using different styles so all women can access her messages accurately?

Or maybe she could continue as she is and anyone who prefers a different communication style could follow a different GC commentator?

OldCrone · 05/04/2024 11:01

Not much point in telling us that. Why don't you tell her? I'm sure she'll be glad to receive your pearls of wisdom about how to get her message across more effectively.

AdamRyan · 05/04/2024 10:47

Ah OK. This is my fault for not being trained in how to process youtube correctly. Understood Confused

Do you think, maybe, that the reason people repeatedly say KJK is right wing/linked the the far right/says far right things, could be that a lot of people aren't trained in "how to process youtube" and still use the old fashioned norms of human communication? And that maybe its not a sign of "smears" but their genuine interpretation of what she says?

And if that's the case, maybe she could help herself and communicate across channels using different styles so all women can access her messages accurately?

As always, you are twisting people’s words and strawmanning to within an inch of your life.

Someone tried to clarify the transcript to you as a list of points.

You said people don’t naturally talk that way.

I said that YouTube broadcasts don’t tend to ape natural, conversational speech

You went on a rant about this is why KJK is consistently thought of as far right, linked with the far right, saying far right things.

I mean WTAF?

Datun · 05/04/2024 11:38

NefertitiV · 05/04/2024 09:02

@datun

... and her actual campaigning?

I think she's lost control of it. If she's not conservative, she needs to control who she associates with and what she posts. If she wants to lead a movement, these are crucial things to consider. Her messages are confusing.

How can she lose control of giving a microphone to vulnerable women across the globe??

This is nonsense. Any woman can speak. any woman at all. It's got nothing to do with their political affiliation. And of course loads are going to be conservative! We live in a conservative country, for a start.

Some could be fascist, or devil worshippers.

Christ. Women you don't like deserve the same protection as you, you know.

Datun · 05/04/2024 11:46

NefertitiV · 05/04/2024 09:48

@PurpleSparkledPixie

She doesn't want to lead a movement though. Where do you get that idea from?

Okay, a leader. Because she is doing global speaking tours? She has adoring fangirls that call her KJK? She has Twitter pages that look more like a rock star's?

The core message - men cannot be women - is fine. It's the rest I find somewhat toxic.

She doesn't do global speaking tours. She takes her microphone to other people so they can speak.

And I honestly can't believe you object to a woman giving a voice to other women across the globe, on the basis that people call her KJK.

What about JKR, FWR, JFK - or MN come to that??

Honestly. There has to be some seething irrationality that just boils over to think that calling someone by their initials is anything other than convenience.

KellieJaysLapdog · 05/04/2024 11:49

I’m not particularly fond of Jane Claire Jones but I still type JCJ on here because I don’t want to wear my thumbs out.

What rant? It was one fairly mildly worded sentence Confused

I was pointing out maybe KJKs communication style is causing some people to interpret what she's saying in certain ways. As opposed to the repeated assertion "people are wilfully smearing her".

She may not care of course. But maybe something to bear in mind before you start attacking people who misunderstand her.

What is a better way to describe her trip to Australia? And why would CPAC spend money for her to go there?

Also, here is a video of her speaking from her Oz trip

That one is really a bit "black is white" for me.

LET Women SPEAK: Kelli Jay Keen (Posie Parker) in Melbourne, Australia

Kellie Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) is visiting Australia from the U.K. I filmed Kellie speaking in Melbourne (18.03.23). Gosh! The stage was stormed! Police ...

So everyone is allowed to speak at Let Women Speak except KJK because you object to her speaking style. Right, gotcha.

Did you read Datuns post? I was responding to that. Am unsure how that's turned into "Everyone is allowed to speak except KJK"

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

Well i hope you are going through her online history, finding inner meanings into every word she says. Otherwise, im going to have to believe you are a girl fan but just cant admit it.

Im sure i read in radical notion something about the patriarchy that convinced me she was actual promoting flat earth theory.

lifeturnsonadime · 05/04/2024 12:26

God do some people still hate KJK?

I still wonder what part of her message - Woman = Adult Human Female that some women find so offensive.

Completely baffling.

illinivich · 05/04/2024 12:27

I'm getting dizzy with the number of transgressions KJK is accused of now.

It's not a speaking tour, is it!

it's called let women speak. Because that's what she does.

Bloody hell. Even when she has the focus for fraction of the time, you can't stand it

So everyone is allowed to speak at Let Women Speak except KJK because you object to her speaking style. Right, gotcha.

And no one is allowed to give her money to amplify other women because Adam is so concerned that we gullible women don't realise she's spending it on herself.

But when a different organisation entirely funds her, that's wrong too, obvs.

I bet Adam doesn't realise that JKR indicated that KJK could always pick up the phone if she hit a difficult court case.

Billionaire Queen Terf offering help to Firebrand Princess Posie. I should imagine that would make Adam's head explode.

Dumbo12 · 05/04/2024 13:19

We now have the interesting situation, where a poster claims to agree with the message, but not the messenger, or how the messenger puts their message across, or the things that the messenger says, or the people who agree with what the messenger says.
What is the problem with the message that women are adult human females and allowing women to speak?

Judellie · 05/04/2024 13:28

The Ringtons man is coming this afternoon. I think they do their own version of the tunnocks teacakes.

I'm getting dizzy from the number of handbrake turns, diversions and deflections from any point. It's wild. Interesting to observe though.

I suspect that some people simply don't like Posie because she speaks to the common people - in language which is plain and clear, rather than cloaked in pretentiously politically correct language learned on university campuses.
In that regard she is a populist, and not an elitist. The word 'populist' alone makes some people go all weird.

Also she is vibrant and attractive and has no issue with dressing in conventionally feminine ways - again - which turns off those who prefer a pair of DMs and and a side buzz cut to signal their rebel credentials.

I'd say my view is we are at the point where noone can agree on KJKs main messages, what she does and why she does it.

She does stuff, but its not speaking, touring, campaigning or leading, even when there are examples of all those things.

She has messages, but they aren't about grooming conspiracies, reflecting right wing narratives, anti-muslim even when there are examples of all those things.

Her business is merch, not direct funding from from individuals or political movements, even when there are examples of all those things.

And she isn't and doesn't want to be a leader, despite fronting a political party, a microphone movement and a youtube channel.

Oh, and people questioning this are either left wing haters or jealous of her hair and nails, is how I'd sum up roughly where I am after all the handbrake turns.

Well i had never head that if you refer to someone by their initials on a forum that uses initials for just about everything that it meant that you are a ‘fangirl’

so I am finding this thread very educational

Are you complaining that people are saying different things and sometimes contradict each other? That would be because we're lots of different people with different opinions. Why should we all be expected to agree?
