Well I haven’t had my gametes fertilised nor raised any children so I feel excluded from JKR’s Mother’s Day message. Mother’s Day must be widened to include people like me. Have I said me or I enough? I think that’s what Mother’s Day is about, thinking about yourself? It’s a day for me, whether it’s meant to be or not.

Happy mother's day covers foster mothers, adoptive mothers as well as mothers wo gave birth anyway. What wrong with the word mother? Why use birthing parents day. Odd.

He has been suspended pending a disciplinary process and some of @BylineTV's content is under review for not meeting our editorial standards.

That would seem, to me at least, to confirm that his apology was driven by his bosses being completely fucked off with him.

There is a disciplinary process at which they can consider his apology, his claim it was due to "a breakdown", and JKR acceptance of said apology. Could go either way, he has given them outs to let this go with a wrotten warning type sanction, if they choose

They might decide to keep him on, if they don’t think he’s too much of a liability.

I’d certainly never heard of Byline News before and his apology and JK Rowling’s response to it would allow them to let him away with a slapped wrist, should they choose to go in that direction.

I wasn't aware of him before The Breakdown and I bear him no ill will. Hope this is a lesson to him, to not let his twits make a twat of him again.

What he twiXed at JKR seemed so extreme, devoid of context and...stupid I'd actually buy the mental breakdown (drunk or high). Unless he's a true MRA and he just let the mask fall for a moment.

eh I kind of think claiming a breakdown is a bit much, to be fair - a breakdown where you wake up feeling fine but a bit sorry about what you did, is just a meltdown.

I can accept he got caught up in the fervour of the moment and said something despicable, woke up and realised what he’d done and was horrified. I did something similar when I was 11.

From his exchange with jkr I think he probably realised he'd cocked up massively and now is enormously relieved and grateful for her generous forgiveness. With any luck he's not only learned something about professional behaviour (well, and general decency) but also a better understanding of what the two sides of the 'debate' really are about.

So I hope they keep him. He may find he needs to channel his inner Neville and have the courage to stand up to some of his friends now.
