Of course he did. He has that much sense. Yet the whole saga shows the power of women through the wit of one of them JKR and why misogynistic men are always trying to control them. I love JK Rowling. I hope the penny will soon drop with the mainstream media that she is pro-women, pro-safeguarding of children, pro-gay rights - not anti-trans. I hope the journalist will reflect on his behaviour. How did he go so quickly from promises of journalistic integrity, to the C-word? That’s something he needs to think long and hard about.
