Article here on a new trans-inclusive “lesbian” bar, with nice dig at the horrid old lesbians who may not want men in their spaces.

I guess this is an opinion / review piece but still quite surprising to see “Terf” being used in mainstream press. And I thought the Standard had undertaken to be balanced in its journalism.

I mentioned to Jenny about having open women's nights (straight, bi) for her lesbian private club. I think it would be great. I never minded in the past in my lesbian social group if someone brought their straight female friend who wanted a girls' night out. They were always nice.

I was listening to this in absolute amazement. How can somewhere be a Lesbian bar if they let everyone in? Mind boggling.

It’s not very inclusive if it excludes "cis" men. Another example of inconsistency among the inclusive.

And "Cara" says Cara is often mistaken for a "cis man", so all "cis men" have to do is identify as a woman or non binary. I imagine most of them that aren't doing it already probably have better things to do though.

FWIW I thought the garden/court yard area looks lovely, based on the instagram behind-the-scenes pics.

Might be hard to generate enough covers in such a small venue to stay afloat financially, but Alex’s food Substack suggests the product could well be very good and I wish them (plural!) well.

London is a massive city so plenty of room for both a Trans owned tapas cafe and the upcoming Lesbian private members club - I suspect A will create an unintended pipeline towards B anyway.
