Tallisker · 18/02/2024 14:07

They can't even write a proper letter! Who the heck starts 'Dear People' and ends 'Yours faithfully'? Peasants.

borntobequiet · 18/02/2024 14:10

I wonder if Woman’s Hour will think it worth interviewing a woman who has just set up a party focused on women. I won’t hold my breath (though I might email them).

Persons who devote themselves to eradicating “gendered” language from public life.

Typing out the words “Dear Sir or Madam” would be a traumatising act of Literal Violence.

But are there two letters? The one in the photo upthread seems to say “Dear [name of pub] Team”

Which letter is this @Tallisker ?

The letter the Labour Party sent is reported here. Worried about Nazis turning up apparently!

Sorry @Goldwork the letter linked in the above post from Justme

IwantToRetire · 20/02/2024 16:54

Not that good with twitter so may have got this wrong, but this seems to show the response to a local resident challenging what Labour had done - their reply https://twitter.com/frankie2001mia/status/1759951094032085041 and if not the one published by the DM very similar.

And then her reply to the usual nazi allegations etc., https://twitter.com/frankie2001mia/status/1759951107525071268

I know not everyone is on twitter, and it used to be possible to view tweets. Will try and work out how to get the letters, which unfortunately are both graphic images, otherwise I would have copied the text, to appear here.

SinnerBoy · 20/02/2024 17:29

Somebody made a very good point on Twitter; the letter said that it wasn't to do with silencing opposing political people, but of course, that's exactly what they intend!

Gaslighting shit heads.

Why haven't they ever interviewed her before?

The BBC is trans central. Dissenters are frowned on and sidelined most of the time. WH has improved with Emma Barnett, but is still careful in whom it speaks to. KJK is beyond the pale.

lifeturnsonadime · 27/02/2024 13:01

Blimey I've been busy the last few days so missed the bit about Labour silencing KJK and calling her a transphobe.

Well well well.... they really don't like it when women speak, do they!?!

Froodwithatowel · 27/02/2024 13:11

No, they don't like it up 'em.

If you want to stand as an independent the Scottish women have a guide. Elaine Millar did it.

they are on Twitter at (@) letsgetelected. I emailed for mine, it is about how politics works and the rules about standing. Www.dangerouswomenxx.co.uk

elect her.co.uk have funding and information too, but they like women who have bonus parts.

Whew! Finally found what you were referring to.

That website doesn't exist and they are not called "dangerouswomenxx" - but "Elaine Miller" was a good clue.

I found them by searching on Twitter for "@/gussiegrips election"

There doesn't seem to be a website, at least they haven't linked to a website in their twitter bio and I can't find anything relevant related to their Twitter handle or email address.

The Twitter account is: https://twitter.com/letsgetelected

Their current Display Name is "Dangerous Females" and "DangerousFemalesxx" is the first part of their email address

Their bio says:

Getting politically homeless woman back into their rightful place

NoWordForFluffy · 16/02/2024 10:28

Has he actually said that, it did he just turn up to one of her LWS events with his cronies?

Googling just brings up a load of TRA press.

TR has never turned up to a LWS event.

We would have heard about it before now if he had.

We would have been buried under an avalanche of Prick News articles about it.

And if you email them they will email you back with information in pdf form. Which reminds me I haven't finished reading them.

My Labour councillor nigh on ran away from me on Saturday when she was canvassing for the local elections! She said she'd 'pass on' my thoughts and headed off at speed.

I never really managed to find the reporting of him supporting her.

And if he simply said that he agrees humans can't change sex, then he's not wrong, is he? Stopped clocks and all that.

That's put a funny image in my mind!

But serious point though. Easier to run away than to face unanswerable questions.

If they actually have to face questions the fact that they have no interest in women's rights will be crystal clear.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/02/2024 14:38

One thing I said was that Starmer says nobody is talking about it on doorsteps, but here I am, talking about it! 🤷‍♀️

She at least didn't argue, but she wouldn't engage either.

Froodwithatowel · 28/02/2024 16:21

But they identify as no one talking about it on doorsteps.

Like they identify as it not harming women's rights, enabling rape, coercive control of women, homophobia and that kind of stuff.

Their lets pretend games make them an even worse choice than the Tories and that's saying something, it really is.

SoupDragonsFriend · 05/03/2024 11:46

For info: KJK's recent Youtube videos have been mentioning her setting up membership for POW and it's now available on https://www.partyofwomen.org/.

She's giving the option of joining as a member, or as someone with membership of another party as well (both same price).

Notaflippinclue · 05/03/2024 12:34

I'm in - £40 well spent

motheronthedancefloor · 05/03/2024 18:35

I want to know what I actually GET from being a member (apart from obviously showing support for biological women)
