I just came on to ask this? How on earth have SWE ended up with trans activist counsel? RMW’s interpretation of the law is completely biased. I wonder if that’s why SWE haven’t put out a statement of regret like WCC have done. Are they being advised (badly) to appeal? I kind of hope they do appeal (although I wouldn’t wish the stress on poor Rachel) as a second present on manifestation would be a real boost.

In the tweet, she quotes that para 69 of the SWE statement of case stated:

"… those who hold or espouse gender critical beliefs…are unlikely to accept that transgender people… are…biology and reality members of their chosen sex ..."

Apart from the painful grammar, SWE went after Rachel because of this? That she was unlikely to accept that a trans woman is biologically and, in reality, a woman. A view held by like the vast majority of people in the UK.

RMW was not the respondents council in the proceedings. How interesting the plot thickens.

Read the tweet transcript of trials early on tonight. Noted that RM barrister made a surreptitious reference in her summing up, about an issue not included in her representations.

It might have to do with this RMW advice being a problematic issue. It is not considered polite to accuse a fellow barrister of conduct issues, as that would be for the Bar counsel, not a court proceeding.

Before the actual trial there are case review and direction hearings about what will and will not be included at trial, so i doubt we will ever know.

But RMW might find themselves briefs (Cases) somewhat reduced lets hope so
