A former queer activist from Norway has pleaded guilty in a London court after carrying out castrations and livestreaming the footage as pornography to a paying audience over a span of six years. Marius Gustavson, 46, uploaded recordings of the illicit surgeries to his ‘Eunuch Maker’ website, netting up to £200,000 from subscribers.

It would appear that some people find it (sexually?) gratifying to watch other men having irreversible back-alley surgery done on their genitals. Presumably the same viewers would also enjoy it if they could watch similar procedures done professionally in an operating theatre.

Given the same man was also distributing images of child sexual abuse, it seems there may be an overlap between people who buy images of children being sexually abused, and people who want to watch others having their genitals mutilated. There are consumers of child abuse who may avidly support the availability of "medical transition" because they find the concept sexually gratifying?

They'll presumably claim they're trans allies, but there's no way that they actually care about the welfare or later life of the people having procedures, any more than they care about the welfare or later life of the children sexually abused to make the images and videos they buy. It's all about the buyers' momentary sexual gratification.

Meanwhile, the WHO and UNESCO (especially in 2018) have also been gradually removing safeguarding from guidelines for children.
