Making sure it’s filmed for maximum drama and attention obviously

Well done that employee for staying calm and polite.

Lets hope he has Deltas full support - he’s done nothing wrong

Delta employee threatens to kick trans woman out of LaGuardia airport

Trans actress Tommy Dorfman claimed two Delta employees 'intentionally' misgendered her at LaGuardia airport last week.

Am also hoping Delta support the employee. Seeing as the employee was threatening to have Tommy removed from the flight I am guessing that was down to Tommy’s attitude. You can’t get arsey at airport checkin, they’re very strict about trying to make sure nobody with the potential for a big kick off is on the flight.

CormorantStrikesBack · 27/12/2023 18:26

And I do feel sorry for airport employees, if someone infront of them has a passport in the name of Tommy and the male box is ticked on the passport then how are they meant to know? There’s plenty of men with long hair who would have a fit if they were called “her”.

cariadlet · 27/12/2023 18:30

Another case of a privileged, rich white man trying to make himself out to be part of an oppressed, marginalised group and posting an everyday transaction online to try and orchestrate a pile-on on an ordinary bloke who is just doing his job.

I'm hoping that it's backfired. All the tweets I have seen have been calling him out for his behaviour and praising the employee.

I hope that reflects majority opinion, that Delta support their employee and that what I saw isn't just a reflection of my Twitter bubble.

ChishiyaBat · 27/12/2023 18:41

Well done that man for sticking up for the other employee! "Do you want to continue 3 days before Christmas I really don't mind" 😂

Never heard of that actor before but he is so masculine looking, being ya know, male, so what does he expect!

I hope the company protects the staff involved. Because calling a man a man shouldn't be a disciplinary offence!

WeeBisom · 27/12/2023 18:41

You know trans women aren't really women because they're NEVER called "Karens"for engaging in this kind of behaviour.

SamW98 · 27/12/2023 18:45

when you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met woth [sic] even more transpbobia [sic] and threats of being arrested at laguardia,” she added. “didnt realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly.”

Now deleted post but transphobia and human rights violation - yep it’s offended BS bingo yet again 🙄

He’s so masc looking. Ffs. As someone said, trying to be a put upon minority. He’s a privileged white man !

Datun · 27/12/2023 19:03

Surface providers usually have a vocabulary designed to address people politely. Sir, madam, etc.

This is why they appear to be getting targeted by trans activists. Waiters, waitresses, and now airport staff. All filmed, and all leveraging manners.

I hope there is a push to come up with a non-sex specific word so that these tiresome people can't go round exploiting staff trying to be helpful.

nauticant · 27/12/2023 19:21

Surface providers

Cosmetics companies?

CormorantStrikesBack · 27/12/2023 19:26

Service providers I’m guessing 🙂

Helleofabore · 27/12/2023 19:32

There are plenty of posts from this male individual objectifying themselves as a female.

I wonder if they were headed to Malaga.

Villagetoraiseachild · 27/12/2023 19:32

I thought it was illegal to film in some if not all airports.
Check in staff are on the frontline of airport security so really please don't waste their time with trivia. They have more than enough to deal with, especially at this time of year.
100% Delta should back their people.

literalviolence · 27/12/2023 19:38

If Tommy thinks that counts as any sort of harassment, then it's clear that he knows nothing about what it is really like to be a woman.

ThePoshUns · 27/12/2023 19:54

Why does everything have to be a drama for these guys?

Haha!!

Abso-frickin-lutely.

PaperWalkAndTalk · 27/12/2023 19:57

The strange thing with this person is the marriage to a man, and the husband (a gay man) was not happy over the transition.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

ItWasneaMe · 27/12/2023 20:01

Bit sick of this word misgendering. It happened to me so often as a teen as I didn't grow big boobs and had a short haircut for years. I just gave them a 'look' & they'd apologise. That's it. That's it. Why so much silly sensitivity?

ButterflyBitch · 27/12/2023 20:02

Every single post about this on the ‘what a twat, delta employee yay’ lines has thousands and thousands of likes. People are getting really sick of this shit.

JL690 · 27/12/2023 20:03

@ItWasneaMe for the publicity and attention , dahling.

Seems tommy was headed there, per the article he had been "living privately as a woman for some time" lol.

OK, this is odd. Was married to a man (in a gay relationship, seemingly ended with the transition, so former husband now a trans widower), then decided to be non-binary, then a trans-woman and now a lesbian.

Doesn't quite seem to be the HSTS I thought that they were.

I must admit I googled this person and their bio made my head spin.

In the space a few years Tommy went from an out and proud married gay man to then come out as non binary.
Then then decide they’re a TW who is now a lesbian 🤷‍♀️

And isn’t there something that doesn’t sit right about an over privileged white man getting upset about made up prejudice by a young black man - who comes out of this with absolute dignity.

But, TBF, through all the trials and tribulations, he appears to have retained his inner dickhead.
