Making sure it’s filmed for maximum drama and attention obviously

Well done that employee for staying calm and polite.

Lets hope he has Deltas full support - he’s done nothing wrong

Delta employee threatens to kick trans woman out of LaGuardia airport

Trans actress Tommy Dorfman claimed two Delta employees 'intentionally' misgendered her at LaGuardia airport last week.

The delta employee is a red coat. Which apparently are delta employees who specifically deal with difficult customers. He's trained for this shit and he does it well. Probably just an average Wednesday for him.

How embarrassing for the entitled trans identified bloke.

Oh really? The employee was very good and professional, so that makes sense. Delta have a good one there, I hope they appreciate him!

Obviously something happened prior to the video so presume drama Queen kicked off and this guy was called over to sort out the difficult customer.

Id imagine working at a New York airport there’s very little this guy not seen and his whole air is one of ‘here we go again’ rather than hostility. As if desk staff trying to get people home fir Christmas need entitled whiney brats causing drama for no reason

ALL the messages on deltas latest insta post are supporting the employee. We’ve really all had enough of this shit

ApocalipstickNow · 28/12/2023 15:04

The delta employee is a red coat.

They say Butlins is an excellent training ground.

ApocalipstickNow · 28/12/2023 15:04

I apologise for that joke already.

cariadlet · 28/12/2023 15:05

I'm more of a Twitter user than Insta but have just popped over to like the positive comments and to add one of my own.

I really hope that this is a tipping point where employers in retail and service industries start standing by their employees when the pronoun brigade film them and/or complain about being misgendered or not being allowed to use women's facilities.

Even if businesses only do it for commercial reasons, they must be starting to realise that most of the public sympathise with the abused employees.

Refreshing to see that commenters on the Reddit forum for Delta are almost entirely in support of the employee: https://old.reddit.com/r/delta/comments/18s9is6/delta_lga_gate_agent_lays_down_some_facts

Some of the comments:

"My gosh can you imagine these gate agents having to deal with this absolute bullshit and nonsense every day? I feel for them."

"Very professional and not taking the bait. Give that man a raise."

"The guy recording is the one who uploaded a video teaching kids how to inject hormones."

"Well done on that employee! Misgendered?! Go find another hobby."

"Love how he wised up real fast once the gate agent reminded him he’s not behind a keyboard right this very moment."

"Appoint him as head of the DEI department."

"Seems like a fight or flight situation."

Delta LGA Gate Agent Lays Down Some Facts!

GA laying down some facts for an ‘acclaimed’ D list actor (Tommy Dorfman) 🥴😂

Every SM platform I’ve seen the feedback is almost 100% in favour of the Delta employee and pretty critical of TD.

Nice to see the staged dramatic offence backfiring on the attention seeker

Misgendered but correctly sexed. That Delta employee handled the whiny, entitled bloke brilliantly.

This is from Nitter so you don’t need an account to read all the comments.

(I use Nitter when I want to read comments from X - it was as PP have said when searching Tommy Dorfman, top comments are all supportive of Delta. Amazing indeed 🤩)

NEW: The Delta employee who "misgendered" trans influencer Tommy Dorfman did end up calling the police after threatening to have him escorted out of the airport.

This keeps getting better.

Dorfman confirmed in a TikTok comment that the Delta employee followed through with his promise.

"The man actually called port authority. Two police officers actually showed up ~10 min later and spoke to me and my partner about the incident," Dorfman whined.

Amazing.

TrashedSofa · 28/12/2023 20:44

We need the video of that!

Excellent! I hope this starts to happen more often.

To be honest I’m hoping there’s no response. They’re best off not giving the idiot the attention they crave.

I can’t find a response from them, but they’ve received a lot of @ in support for their employee.

Have a look at the likes / ratios on these examples.

I kinda agree tho that it’s probably best that Delta don’t respond publicly because this really should be a non-issue. Customer got upset, then abusive, and was dealt with in a professional and timely manner. If it was any other complaint (outside of ‘my pronouns’ and trans ‘I have all the status’) we wouldn’t even know about it.

I am heartened that in this instance the filming and sharing of this didn’t result in the expected arse pats for Tommy and howls of oppression that we’ve come to expect.

I watched the video clip on Twitter and the voice (of Dorfman) sounded so clearly a male voice …

The board behind the Delta employee says boarding closed, so no doubt the entitled dick turned up late for the flight and decided to be awkward even though they were very kindly trying to get him on the flight.

DOBARDAN · 29/12/2023 16:15

That's the way to do it

AraJingleBellScott · 29/12/2023 16:23

The only sensible and professional response from Delta is silence. Staff did fine, no point in engaging further.

I’d LOVE that job 😁

Beowulfa · 29/12/2023 18:29

I once spent a quiet afternoon at work reading a long thread about badly behaved celebrities on a forum for airline staff. Apparently the briefly and very tenuously famous (ie came 4th on Big Brother in 2009) are the worst for "don't you know who I am???"

The thing about these trans nonentities is they are so self-absorbed they don't realise the airport staff deal with self-absorbed wankers day in day out and are quite comfortable with refusing boarding to anyone starting to act rudely and aggressively.

I live in an area where a lot of z list Celebes and reality tv type are.

I’ve been in a couple of situations where they’ve pulled the big I am to service staff.

One was a larger than life female - initials GC. - who shoved my friend out the way at a festival and told her ‘move I’m a VIP’

The other was Joey Essex who when told he couldn’t be papped in a petrol station shop (very staged as the pap was actually with him in the car) said to the manager ‘don’t you know who I am’ to which his reply was ‘no sir I do not’

So the fact non entities desperate for SM attention behave this way is no shock

I think the public - having seen a number of these videos over the years - is pretty much over this type of behaviour.

The Starbucks video was quite an eye opener for many people re: the appalling behaviour of the employee in that case.

These videos simply amplify the disconnect between the tolerance and kindness some people expect from others and how they treat people in return.

It's simply bullying and using intimidation to get what they want in raising their online profile or getting kicks from forcing people to live by their rules and not reality.

So yes - good on that delta employee in dealing with the matter as they would for any other passenger who was mouthing off at staff and being a dickhead. No sacred castes - we are done.

SinnerBoy · 30/12/2023 12:27

JanesLittleGirl

But, TBF, through all the trials and tribulations, he appears to have retained his inner dickhead.

I am giggling in Wetherspoons. Some of the punters looked over with "Ah, one of us" expressions.

I have to say, I've never heard of this Timmy Dorkman character, but he certainly is an attention seeking tosspot, manufacturing a situation to pretend that he has the right to rant at someone.

I'll take pains not to watch anything he's in.
