Making sure it’s filmed for maximum drama and attention obviously

Well done that employee for staying calm and polite.

Lets hope he has Deltas full support - he’s done nothing wrong

Delta employee threatens to kick trans woman out of LaGuardia airport

Trans actress Tommy Dorfman claimed two Delta employees 'intentionally' misgendered her at LaGuardia airport last week.

Human rights violation. What a total tit.

But, TBF, through all the trials and tribulations, he appears to have retained his inner dickhead.

🤣🎯🤣
The audio on these videos is always so illuminating...although tbf the photos were like a weird photoshop
I hope Delta stick up for their professional, calm crew.

Rich shits making poor workers lives worse. Go the interweb!

Bit sick of this word misgendering. It happened to me so often as a teen as I didn't grow big boobs and had a short haircut for years. I just gave them a 'look' & they'd apologise. That's it. That's it. Why so much silly sensitivity?

It's a deliberate act of dominance. There's that other chap who just sets his phone up in cafes and restaurants to deliberately tape waiters calling him sir.

When you can call service providers just doing their job 'transphobic' and get them apologising and anxious, it's a gift for some men.

In this instance, the delta employee held the actual power because Dorfman needed the flight.

What did he say? That Dorfman was condescending? Interesting that he's recognising that the behaviour is wrong and that he can say so.

It is wrong. And hopefully more people will say so.

Turns out the internal dickishness of some men remain despite their efforts to remove all signs and references to the outer dick!

Tommy Dorfman was bridesmaid at Lena Dunham’s wedding. LD once publicly “called out” alleged transphobic chat between American Airlines staff. I just looked up when that was and it was in 2017. It’s heartening to see the response to these people has definitely changed since then.

I must admit I googled this person and their bio made my head spin.

In the space a few years Tommy went from an out and proud married gay man to then come out as non binary.
Then then decide they’re a TW who is now a lesbian 🤷‍♀️

And isn’t there something that doesn’t sit right about an over privileged white man getting upset about made up prejudice by a young black man - who comes out of this with absolute dignity.

Edited

Similar to the Amanda Jette Knox journey - bog standard gay, followed by non binary, then full-on trans identity. Makes you wonder why TRAs are so desperate to lock in trans identities on kids when clearly identity is a very fluid thing 🤔

WeeBisom · 27/12/2023 18:41

You know trans women aren't really women because they're NEVER called "Karens"for engaging in this kind of behaviour.

Very true!

ThePoshUns · 27/12/2023 19:54

Why does everything have to be a drama for these guys?

Based 100%.
Never met a bigger group of whingers in my life

ClemenceD · 28/12/2023 02:49

Man face. Man name. Man voice.

Ohyoudodoyou · 28/12/2023 07:37

The poor guy on the desk probably had a massive commute to his job, had probably been working long hours and flat out at the busiest time of year only to be confronted with this gobshite filming him and having a hissy fit. He didn't get up that morning and expect to go viral as a result of this vile person.
These people are awful, I hate this new world where people whip out their phone and video people trying to do their jobs, however in this instance it's a gift as it backfires on this entitled man-child.
I hope that Delta airlines gives full support to this staff member.

LizzieSiddal · 28/12/2023 07:56

I’d like to shake the airport workers hand. He handled that extremely well.

Sausagenbacon · 28/12/2023 07:56

The Delta employee handled this with such grace.
TD put the film up on x to gain sympathy but instead has made an absolute fool of himself. Which is wonderful to see.

Waitwhat23 · 28/12/2023 09:00

Datun · 27/12/2023 19:03

Surface providers usually have a vocabulary designed to address people politely. Sir, madam, etc.

This is why they appear to be getting targeted by trans activists. Waiters, waitresses, and now airport staff. All filmed, and all leveraging manners.

I hope there is a push to come up with a non-sex specific word so that these tiresome people can't go round exploiting staff trying to be helpful.

There's also the aspect with TRA's that there's a certain narcissistic type of personality who gets a thrill from being an arse to service staff because they know full well that the staff member is (often) at the mercy of a large company's desire to please the customer at any cost. Any of us who've worked in shops/bars/cafes will recognise it and remember the inner seething as the manager falls over backwards to appease some nonsense.

And a non sex specific word will be used by everyone apart from the tiresome ones. It's like how the word actor is now used by everyone apart from males identifying as women, who demand that they alone are referred to as actress.

TrashedSofa · 28/12/2023 09:19

I like that American online commentary on this issue seems to be acknowledging the social class aspect of it.

ApocalipstickNow · 28/12/2023 10:11

There does seem to be a pattern here- males with privilege vs retail staff, door staff etc.

Its very much class/status based bullying.

(Even though TRas hate punching down so much 🙄obviously )

SamW98 · 28/12/2023 10:22

Just saw this comment and it’s pretty much spot on

This rich white man feels oppressed when a working class black man doesn’t affirm his fantasies and delusions.

I just can't fathom the level of delusion it took to make him voluntarily put this on the internet.

Yes. The narcissism is extreme if he thinks the video makes the member of staff look bad!

Swiftly removed when fawning support and calls for the guy to be sacked didn’t materialise. In fact most comments were variations of ‘you’re a drama queen’

I’ve seen a post on X saying it’s only being shared by anti trans groups - more like anti entitled twat groups tbf.

Stupid prick.

catduckgoose · 28/12/2023 12:40

Article is inaccurate, it says:

The Delta employee remains unfazed and replies that his use of pronouns was on purpose: 'It was intentional, but if you want to take it personal. That's OK.'

But the video shows that the employee said: "Wasn't intentional, but if you want to take it personal, that's OK."

The delta employee is a red coat. Which apparently are delta employees who specifically deal with difficult customers. He's trained for this shit and he does it well. Probably just an average Wednesday for him.

How embarrassing for the entitled trans identified bloke.
