Or half full depending on your take.

Mulvaney said it was 'amazing' to be recognized by Forbes, adding: 'I think I am becoming a bit of a businesswoman.
'As much as I love the creative side, I love getting smarter: I want to know everything, and how it all works. Of course being in front of the camera, but I love the idea of producing and I think, why not learn it all.'

I'm loving they had a VIP waiting list for when it sold out.

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

From the poster, it looks like it was a free event, so even for free that’s a very luke warm welcome. Shame./s

But I think this

‘Mulvaney, sporting a Penn State jacket, led a Penn State chant and shared that despite her challenging transition, she is now focusing on aspirations in theater’

and this

‘Mulvaney discussed her struggles and dreams to a small crowd of Penn State students Friday evening, emphasizing her passion for theater and her upcoming one-woman show.’

points to what all the Days of blah blah was for anyway.

Why are you gloating over someone you don’t know, will never meet and who has absolutely no effect on your life whatsoever?

Whomever it may be, that seems a bit cruel.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the cruel and contemptuous way the individual in question speaks about women...? Or to keep in character, "girls." Just a blind stab in the dark.

DreamTheMoors · 07/12/2023 03:35

Stay classy, @Rightsraptor

PatatiPatatras · 07/12/2023 07:25

Man mocks women, he doesn't understand a thing about them -> he's vulnerable, be kind

Women mocks man for mocking women -> "stay classy "

Hmm

LizzieSiddal · 07/12/2023 07:28

I’m so shocked that someone playing at being a woman, is not as popular as certain people would want him to be.

RedToothBrush · 07/12/2023 07:55

Dylan is who executives think should appeal and be inspirational to a certain demographic. Thats why they were used by Bud lite to market their beer.

The trouble is, they have substantially less appeal in reality to the executives expectations.

The gap is really interesting.

It seems that not as much people in reality are on board with this ideology as twitter might suggest. It shows up the echo chamber the executives live in and it shows how much marketing is trying to push Dylan on a public who just aren't interested. A top down sales push.

It's a death knell for a grifter career - Dylan can't get past niche. They aren't a massive market celebrity.

NotTerfNorCis · 07/12/2023 07:57

Because Dylan has built a career out of taking the piss out of women.

This is a feminist forum so most of us will be pleased to hear thar someone who is making a career out of promoting misogynistic stereotypes isn't as popular as they claim.
I'd feel the exact same way if this thread was about Andrew Tate. I don't know him personally either and hope I don't have to.

FrancescaContini · 07/12/2023 08:12

Crying into my cornflakes (not) for poor old Dylan.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 07/12/2023 08:16

Dylan found something to do when theatres were closed in the pandemic and is now going back to the theatre. The whole thing is a performance if you ask me.

They do have an impact on women's lives. They are being used to mass market males being females because of a feeling in their head.

Which is the ultimate in gender stereotyping and deeply regressive.

Mulvaney has also been heavily courted and promoted by the Biden Administration. This has included a trip to the White House and meeting Biden himself.

Ironically this plays to Republican sentiments so could directly affect me too - given there is an election coming. From that point of view the Democratic party seeing that Mulvaney can't fill a room it might be beneficial to their election chances to grasp it's not a vote winner even amongst the student population. I am very concerned about the chances of Trump winning...

So to say Mulvaney has 'no effect on my life whatsoever' is at best extremely ignorant and naive and at worst totally disingenuous gaslighting to tell women to shut up and suck up males who mock them and reduce them to fluffy pink brainless girlies.

The whole transdemic is over according to my DD. Totally uncool now.

There will always be a small minority of men that wear women’s clothes or women that wear men’s clothes and that is fine but a huge number of people signing up to up to this fad is over. No one wants to line the pockets of big pharma.

I think we are about to enter the really rather unpleasant backlash stage.

We are going to get a bunch of incel incidents along side it and hand in hand with it too.

Undermining females and who they are DOES affect people this charlatan hasn’t met. He clearly couldn’t get famous as a bloke (and god knows he tried) and used a pretend female persona to do it.

He’s a gaslighter.

He’s a novelty act. He doesn’t actually do anything but dress up as a woman. How much of a career did he think that would give him.

Why do you dismiss the impact this male person has on women and girls collectively?

This is a male person who has been presented to the world as a leading and aspirational woman. Fuck! Have you missed all the plaudits and acclaim, and meeting the President? Have you missed how angry young women are with those opportunities meant for female people being given to this person ?

Cruelty covers many aspects of behaviour. Mulvaney is constantly cruel. Mulvaney is mocking women, and being applauded for it. I suggest you are cruel in your dismissal of the impact that this has directly on young women, but also on society.

Well done in scolding people who see the issue though! A great live demonstration on the lack of critical thinking that goes into posts such as yours.

I can't speak for the Op but I do it because I think it's funny AF.

TheaBrandt · 07/12/2023 08:57

from the snippets I’ve seen his whole career is ripping the piss out of teenage girls. Why would any woman want to endorse that?

Yep - Dylan has built a career out of misogyny and not only that misogyny directed at teenage girls.

He deserves to be mocked. Honestly, I think he's quite happy to be mocked as long as he gets the attention he craves. That's all he cares about, but the fact people (like Biden) are abandoning reason and integrity and taking him seriously is harming women and girls.
