The bit about the non binary teacher who wears white clothes when she has her period and doesn't wear sanitary protection is particularly disturbing - which particular school is this I wonder, it's in Brighton.

OP posts:
JellySaurus · 28/10/2023 11:20

The parent said: “We’ve got a group of pupils at a school where one of the teachers is non-binary and this particular teacher has taught the pupils that she is neither male nor female.
“Therefore she is not required to wear sanitary protection when she menstruates. What she then does is she wears white, very light linen clothes when she menstruates so the blood shows through to generate a conversation with the kids.”
This story is not plausible. It is positively harmful and provides ammunition to conspiracy theorists.

Even if this person rejects the concept of binary sex, blood is still flowing out of her and requires containment. Just the same as if she cut herself accidentally. If she chooses to flow free she is spreading her bodily fluids around the school. Schools are really hot on the hygiene aspect of blood and other bodily fluids: first aiders must wear gloves when treating any injury that involves blood, and cleaners must use only bio-hazard coded equipment (usually red) when cleaning anything or anywhere that may be contaminated with bodily fluids.

I cannot imagine even the most woke of leadership or governers supporting this.

(Mind you, there's so much about this whole ideology that I cannot imagine anyone with an ounce of common sense or compassion supporting - yet people do.)

What a load of old bollocks. This is the Telegraph that also reported that kids identifying as dinosaurs were being fed strips of meat.

Someone on their reporting team is highly gullible and people are taking the piss out of that.

The Telegraph appear to be reporting what was being said by parents and teachers at the LGB Alliance conference on Friday. Do you think they are mis-reporting what was said at the conference or that what was said at the conference was made up?

"Parents and former teachers spoke out about the infiltration of radical gender ideology in schools on Friday at a conference in central London hosted by LGB Alliance, the charity for gay, lesbian and bisexual people."

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 13:30

Either. People lie or misreport things all the time.

Datun · 28/10/2023 13:45

The sartorial choices of menstruating woman might seem far-fetched, but not really any more far-fetched than announcing you're neither male nor female.

We're so used to hearing that bollocks, that we forget how actually ludicrous it is.

Along with asking girls if they might really be boys.

Datun · 28/10/2023 13:51

Also, don't forget this delightful picture.

And the other thing is, of course, that despite the article referring to the person as she (which is clearly misgendering as they are non binary) they could equally have been a man.

There are plenty of men online claiming they have periods.

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 13:53

A menstruating female who is a secondary teacher in the UK deliberately doesn't use sanitary products so that she bleeds through her clothes in front of her classes in order to 'spark a conversation', apparently this is fine with the school because she does it repeatedly, and the first anyone hears about this is either at a conference where people would lap it up, or in a newspaper where the readers would lap it up?

That teacher with the massive fake boobs in Canada - there seems to be plenty of photographic evidence of that one. I'll be waiting for a bit more evidence for this one than 'I heard it from someone' or 'I read it in the Telegraph'.

Did anyone ever find those dinosaur kids who were being fed strips of meat?

I agree the claim needs backing up to be taken as absolute fact. However I'm not inclined not to believe it either because to do so would be ignoring the vast amounts of utter insanity that has got us to this point.

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 14:20

Generally the really weird ones are blokes with fetishes, not woman.

I'm assuming that was why Datun was trying to suggest it could be a man, even though they don't bleed and it would have definitely been reported as a man if it were a) a real thing and b) a man doing it.

So what would a woman, in normal employment by a school, be expecting to get out of this other than a P45 and to be hauled in front of a teacher misconduct panel?

Datun · 28/10/2023 14:21

i'm no longer able, at all, to discern where something comes on the spectrum of batshittery.

I'm in a permanent state of incredulity. A white linen wearing, free-flowing woke teacher probably isn't the most daft thing I've heard even this morning.

Well yes, that's the problem isn't it?

MrsOvertonsWindow · 28/10/2023 14:27

Worth remembering that this was said at the LGB Alliance conference (the one with some homophobes outside protesting at gays & lesbians meeting).
There's considerable concern about the impact of the "you've been born in the wrong body" crowd on children who'll likely grow up to be gay / lesbian.

Countless LGB parents have started looking closely at what's being taught to children in schools and this is coming out of that focus.

pineapplepinecones · 28/10/2023 14:32

Might be varndean - apparently their MTF comp science teacher had to leave recently as a pupil found someone of their homemade porn on the school computers.

and another teacher smacked a kid’s bum on a school trip.

What would a teacher expect by calling children bigots, or whatever it was, for disagreeing that another pupil was a cat!

And if I remember correctly, there were people more outraged that the children had had the nerve to tape it.

I have no way of knowing if period teacher is authentic or not.

All I'm saying is it's easy to believe. Especially if it was faked, in order to provoke a conversation.

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 14:42

I think deliberately and repeatedly bleeding all over your clothes during your period so that your classes can see it and talk about it with you is a step up from an assumed private conversation?

Dealing badly with the cat conversation is something I can imagine happening, particularly given the lack of guidance.

JanglyBeads · 28/10/2023 14:43

But in the cat case, we have no evidence of exactly what happened either.

@noblegiraffe, either someone gullible on the Telegraph staff or someone pushing a particular agenda??

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 14:44

And with the cat conversation, it was reported almost immediately on twitter by their parents and went internationally viral.

This, however, has not?

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 28/10/2023 14:46

‘I'll be waiting for a bit more evidence for this one than 'I heard it from someone' or 'I read it in the Telegraph'.’

but what sort of ‘evidence’ can there be? The pupils won’t be allowed to whip out their phones and take a picture, will they? I seem to remember several teachers on this board claiming vociferously that the cat girl story was made up, or the tape was misinterpreted , until it emerged that…..it wasn’t.

as for the Health and Safety aspect, is it so very unusual for the scared caste to be immune from regulation?

noblegiraffe · 28/10/2023 14:52

You think if a teacher were repeatedly proudly walking around school in bloodstained trousers that no teen would have surreptitiously taken a pic?

Or mentioned it to their parents?

Or posted about it on social media?

You don't think that any other teacher at the school might have reported it as a safeguarding issue?

Rudderneck · 28/10/2023 14:53

I think this is a "not sure" for me, for all the reasons previously mentioned.

There has been this "free bleeding" thing around for the last few years with some people seeming to believe that it's some kind of liberation. I think maybe it was the Guardian that had an article about a marathon runner who decided that it was the best way to compete, including photos.

It's difficult to picture it actually happening in a school, although I can imagine some idiot somewhat faking it, maybe only going without sanitary products on a light flow day, say.

i'm not sure the other conversation was private. There were at least two girls, and I had the impression it was being had in a classroom.

I completely agree that deliberately bleeding on your clothes is wrong on all levels, and she should be fired immediately.

What I don't agree with is that it couldn't happen. Maybe in some more deliberately structured way? I can totally believe that the reporting is deliberately dramatic.

I think what I'm getting at, giraffe, isn't so much whether it's true or not, but the fact that something that is utterly ludicrous and difficult to swallow, today, could easily be far more commonplace tomorrow, given the direction of travel of some of these schools.

We had children being taught with fake 'chance' dice how to insert things into their anuses. We've had Mr Giant Breasts in Canada. We've had a questionnaire on another thread trying to determine identity by asking things like how often they cry and whether they are rational.

I hope it's not true. But to say it couldn't be, in my opinion, minimise is the problem.

Thelnebriati · 28/10/2023 14:59

I'll wait and see on the free bleeding - in the past, users of 4chan trolled the internet with a free bleeding campaign. And I've seen an increase in Reddit-style trolls calling themselves gender critical feminists on Twitter.

Free Bleeding

Free Bleeding refers to the practice of abstaining from using feminine hygiene products during menstruation. In February 2014, free bleeding was promoted by members of 4chan as a prank to convince women that feminine hygiene products were a form of pat...

What I don't agree with is that it couldn't happen.

Repeatedly, in a UK school, and the first time anyone hears about it publicly is at this conference?

I'm pretty confident that massive tits guy couldn't happen in England. Fuck knows what's going on in Canada.

Thelnebriati · 28/10/2023 15:10

I used to think that a kid couldn't starve to death in front of teachers in the UK.

Datun · 28/10/2023 15:13

Well, I cant remember how far anus dildo dice got. But it went through enough layers of approval to make you wonder who the fuck was approving it.

Likewise, kids crawling all over men in drag in public libraries.

But, I agree with you, it depends how deep the capture goes. It could be Brighton where it's plummeted.
