I saw a woman wearing a T shirt saying 'Butches against transphobia' today. It astounds me that some lesbians would think that way. I wonder what she would do if presented with a penis on a date?

A tiny minority of people are hermaphroditic, but for everyone else the genitals aren't negotiable.

@JaneGainsborough i have never heard of that person. I’m so confused by your post. Surely the default “not having a vagina” means they have a penis? I know some women have their vaginas removed for extensive cancer surgery but that’s not the opposite of having a vagina?

@JaneGainsborough I think many bi-sexual people WOULD mind though, and I'm pretty sure a lesbian would, or she's not a lesbian. I am a heterosexual sexual woman and would be horrified to go to bed with a new partner and find they had a vagina.

Very tall & thin is a typical partial-puberty-blocked look for male transitioners.
Earlier blockers tends to make them obese (see Jazz Jennings).

I don't know enough about this person to know whether they are suffering from gender dysphoria but I do think that extract is a heap of red flags for any kind of equality or mutually respectful relationship. It looks traumatic

While women are spending their lives trying (and too often failing) to avoid being raped and used by men, a trans identifying male like Hunter seems to be fetishising sexual abuse. He's not the only one who thinks like this, see also Andrea Long Chu and Torrey Peters.

That's a very stark example of a thing women and trans identifying males don't have in common.

Now I've caught up on the thread, what's with dad joke? It's like there's some element of magical thinking going on - if he repeats that trans people have the 'right' to use whichever 'bathroom' they want, it will come true eventually. It's also reminiscent of 'we've always been at war with Eastasia!' Fucking creepy.

Nothing wrong with Schafer or Cobain’s looks, btw, just both are just obviously male.

Those diary entries are very sad. Shame Schafer wasn’t supported to grow up as a happy and healthy gay man.
