most police officers manage to not go viral at any point, or have any social media coverage. Yet this one has managed it twice in a few months! Not a good look.

Totally unrelated question - what effects does testosterone have on a female body?

To be fair, when police from other forces were drafted in during the London riots, I've never forgotten an account of 5 officers from Strathclyde Police.

Faced with a group of @ 100, the 5 sized them up, based on their experience of managing crowds in Glasgow after an Old Firm match in Glasgow, and charged them in the authoritative way they'd manage Rangers and Celtic fans.

The group dispersed.

The Scots police were also noted for playing football with teenagers at the time and sitting down and having a natter and cup of tea with people.

My problem with public shaming is that is often used out of all proportion to the alleged offence. Or where no blame should be attached at all. Like being a gender critical person.

On the other hand perhaps it is our only sanction against people who clearly feel no private shame? Even now I expect Lesbian Nana thinks she was bullied by the autistic girl. And has been singled out unfairly after the latest loss of self control. It seems the relevant authorities have simply given up.

I do feel quite sorry for the woman police officer, in both these videos, as she has been hugely let down by the organisation she is employed by. At no point should she have been able to believe that her behaviour was proportionate or acceptable. She should have been stopped, possibly during her training and certainly during any probationary period. If she then continued, she should have been managed out, as would happen in many other organisations. Having said that, she should have sufficient self awareness to realise that she is not cut out for the role she is in, imo.

I suspect that PC Nana has claim to one of the letters in the LGBT+ (I'm going to guess she identifies as non binary as you can't just be a woman with short hair in these progressive times) and as WY Police is Stonewalled up to the eyeballs, her colleagues and superiors are probably terrified of giving her cause to complain about her. They. Whatever.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Absolutely vile decision. But of course they investigated their little woke diversity hire and found she did nothing wrong.

She approached innocent bystanders just for the purpose of pepper spraying them. She absolutely broke guidance in her use of a weapon.

Is there any way this decision can be challenged?

FFS! 🤦‍♀️

Igmum · 08/01/2024 21:20

I second that FFS. She's a disaster area. What her managers are thinking of I do not know. She has twice gone viral bringing the Force into disrepute

SinnerBoy · 09/01/2024 14:16

She's been cleared of any wrong doing, by a Police panel. Well, I'm amazed.

Police officer at centre of 'lesbian nana' row after arrest of girl, 16, is cleared of misconduct over pepper spray incident

A shocking clip widely shared online showed a short, blonde-haired female officer spray several people during a disturbance on a housing estate in the city. Critics branded her 'out of control' as she repeatedly shouted 'get back' at the crowd while standing alongside numerous other colleagues. West Yorkshire Police launched an investigation into possible misconduct after complaints about her behaviour. But they have now put her in the clear – though another inquiry is still ongoing into an earlier incident which gave rise to the 'lesbian nana' nickname being circulated.

Starting to think she’s the Chief Inspector’s granddaughter…

RhannionKPSS · 10/01/2024 23:06

Has anything come of the case of her intimating and threatening that young girl ? Totally OTT behavior towards that girl

SinnerBoy · 11/01/2024 04:15

Apparently, that whitewash is still awaiting release.

Paul2023 · 20/07/2024 16:28

Am I right in thinking that the girl who made the lesbian comment was 15 at the time ?

The trouble is , a hate crime on a criminal record will ruin her chances of lots of jobs

Was the police woman really that but hurt that a CHILD called her a lesbian?

I would suggest that if a grown adult in a job of great responsibility cannot handle a child making a few comments, she really shouldn’t be in the job. Seriously
