most police officers manage to not go viral at any point, or have any social media coverage. Yet this one has managed it twice in a few months! Not a good look.

Totally unrelated question - what effects does testosterone have on a female body?

She needs to be sacked, she clearly has temper issues & is unsuitable for the job. I couldn’t be a police officer as I know my limits, this one clearly doesn’t.

DisforDarkChocolate · 24/10/2023 09:52

She's totally at odds with her colleagues there. No ability to stay calm at all.

CornishClott · 24/10/2023 09:55

She's probably very clever with words. Friends in high places etc

teawamutu · 24/10/2023 09:56

Was there ever any update about that poor lass they dragged out of her home screaming?

Nothing further with the girl herself (obviously!)

I’ve not heard anything about the internal investigation that I was talked about.

She’s running in and indiscriminately deploying an offensive weapon.

There’s no control, appears to be no pre-warning and it all looks very panicked. Where’s the assessment of risk? Or identification of (actual) threat?

There will certainly be bystanders, in that large group she’s assaulted in short order, who haven’t done anything to justify the use of force against them.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/10/2023 10:15

It's taking place on 'Third Avenue'! Did that trigger her?

DarkDayforMN · 24/10/2023 10:32

Woah, she is absolutely out of control! She really isn’t right for that job. And all other cops look like teenagers 😭yes I know that’s a sign of my age but I felt a bit sorry for that bunch of bewildered buffoonish babies. No wonder they get bamboozled by genderists, they look like they need help getting their shoes on the right feet.

What’s the context of the altercation? Not that it makes a difference re Lesbian Nana’s behaviour, I’m just being nosey.

RealityFan · 24/10/2023 10:58

Not so much the inmates have taken over the asylum, but the kids have taken over the playground.

UnalterableSpaceCadet · 24/10/2023 11:10

Recognised her right away. What is going on?

Lexi81 · 24/10/2023 11:24

Hopefully the West Yorkshire Police will display this level of policing to protect women from the TRAs at the Standing For Women event in Leeds next month.

AnSolas · 24/10/2023 11:29

Sorry but that is a clip out of context in what looks like the start middle of a mini riot.
Here is her problem (and is biology) she is smaller than the men and women on the police "side" and has a high pitched voice but can be more agressive in the crowd control without having the men in the group she is targeting be able to start a fight with her.
She appears to target specific men too and manages to drive the crowd back from whatever is going on in the car and in the background.
IMO Her actions with the prior arrest was without common sense policing but in this instance fuck around and find out policing appears to have "calmed" the situation down.
i would like to see more than a single clip before yelling sack her over this.🤷‍♀️

I agree. Here's the previous one:

No, that offended policewoman is not the ‘real victim’

The ‘lesbian nana’ scandal should shame West Yorkshire Police.

She reminds me of those perfume spraying ladies in Debenhams.

PaterPower · 24/10/2023 11:54

Admittedly the camera / phone swings around a bit so you don’t see everything she does but I disagree about the targeting. It looks indiscriminate to me (from this limited viewpoint).

There is at least one other colleague who has his pava in hand at the end of the clip but doesn’t appear to have felt threatened enough to actually spray it (or it’s just not captured in the footage) and a couple of batons drawn which, again, don’t appear to have been used.

It’s notable that the older / more experienced (and incidentally armed) officers in the footage haven’t deployed batons, sprays or tasers and look pretty chill. It’s the YTS-age plods that are rattled and who have weapons in hand.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/10/2023 12:05

She rushes out away from the line of her colleagues and isolates herself in a bunch of, fortunately, onlookers. If one or two of those big guys that she put behind her had tried it on it'd have been a mess for herself and anyone trying to extricate her.

Perhaps there's a wider context that makes this sensible. From what's shown it looks reckless.

SkyePye · 24/10/2023 12:49

I know that in Scotland a report is sent to PIRC for every use of PAVA/CS and the officer needs to be able to justify its use.

Presumably the same happens in England?

VintedNotMintead · 24/10/2023 12:54

Can someone add some cnntect here please?

Is this person believing herself to be a transman?

Is there footage of the incident with the teen?

Seems she definitely shouldn't be on the police force

VintedNotMintead · 24/10/2023 13:02

Just watched the previous video. That's insane.

How on earth can a child be arrested for saying you look like my nana who's a lesbian.

That poor little girl.

DavidChecker · 24/10/2023 13:10

Is that long baton that one constable in foreground is holding a regulation one for car officers? Looks more like riot squad or mounted police kit.
Just asking. . . .

sorry this had me laughing 😂

exwhyzed · 24/10/2023 14:18

I absolutely believe the mum's version of events from that clip in the the house after watching how reactive that police officer is in the clip from the street.

Her presentation is markedly different to that of her colleagues.

AutumnCrow · 24/10/2023 14:35

Obviously happy to wait for the official breakdown of events, with context. Presumably a senior officer will now assess whether she was following the correct rules for the situation, or if she was 'showing off' / reckless and putting herself and/or others in danger.

There could be some posturing going on both here and in the previous incident - and that type of personality in an officer isn't great for their colleagues tbh. And yes, I've thought about double standards and I'd definitely say that about a male officer too.

exwhyzed · 24/10/2023 14:55

When you listen to the background dialogue in the clip it sounds like the 'mob' (bystanders who from what the video shows seem mostly to be standing around in disbelief at the police response) believe the person being arrested was dragged out of their car and pepper sprayed for 'no reason'.

I'd be very interested to hear what the context was around that.

Especially when we have the same officer on video being accused of pushing a mother out of the way to get to a child who had just described her as looking like 'my lesbian nana' and then calling for backup when the mother prevented her for arresting the child in their own home for a public order offence (how does that work!?) because the officer perceived it to be homophobic.

West Yorkshire Police need to remove that officer from frontline duties until both investigations have been carried out to restore public confidence.
