Feminism: Sex and gender discussions
crumpet · 19/08/2023 09:27

Good. Hopefully employees will come to feel that not being part of Stonewall does not mean that people won’t be treated with dignity and respect. And maybe other companies will come to see what a waste of money it is.

crumpet · 19/08/2023 09:27

Should be “come to realise”

yogasaurus · 19/08/2023 09:29

Good. Stonewall needs to go to the wall

DrPanda · 19/08/2023 09:31

The Government has purged Stonewall would be have been a better headline - and more about the truth.

DrPanda · 19/08/2023 09:32

Let's hope the NHS comes to its senses too PDQ

RealityFan · 19/08/2023 09:35

Time for Rosanna Lockwood to interview Allison and Maya on this? Y'know, so one doesn't get ambushed.

Heliotroper · 19/08/2023 09:38

It just shows up the nonsense for what it is - a league table of how much money people are prepared to send to Stonewall.

AutumnCrow · 19/08/2023 09:41

(If you want to read it in full and don't have a subscription, either switch to Airplane Mode or use archive . ph.)

I particularly enjoyed this bit:

A Whitehall source said: “The Government outsourcing diversity and inclusion [D&I] programmes to organisations like Stonewall has had disastrous consequences, like bringing in self-ID by the back door and seeing gender critical feminists equated with anti-Semities.

“Kemi Badenoch has worked hard to ensure departments know there are better ways to run D&I - ways which provide better value for taxpayers and meet civil service impartiality rules.

“Now all can see that Whitehall has joined the BBC, Channel 4 and the equality watchdog, the EHRC, in rejecting Stonewall’s discredited scheme.”

Heliotroper · 19/08/2023 09:42

Genderology is the new religion, Stonewall is its church and it is selling indulgences. Send us the money and be cured of homophobia!

ArcticSkewer · 19/08/2023 09:44

Only the truly righteous can buy their place in gender heaven

“Last year, the spooks at MI6 sat proudly at #52, and it seemed entirely appropriate that an organisation full of people who spend their whole lives pretending to be something they are not should have been lauded by Stonewall on behalf of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. But now the spooks are gone, along with the Department for International Trade, the Financial Ombudsman Service, the House of Lords, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Insolvency Service, and the Royal Navy.”

Stonewall Top 100 Employers: spooked out

The main story from this week’s release of the Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2023 is the near total disappearance, since 2022, of government departments and agencies (other than NHS bodies). La…

i do hope that the tide is turning and if it is, there should be an upsurge in companies leaving SW as nobody is going to want to be the last to be associated with all that nonsense.

ArabeIIaKarenScott · 19/08/2023 09:48

Gosh. About time.

AutumnCrow · 19/08/2023 09:48

If you want to have a laugh at the absolute suckers on the list of gullible griftees ...

They had to recalculate Barclays' score - presumably after a late appeal?! (can you imagine actually giving a fuck?) - which goes to show that banks do have EDI twats working for them who push this religico-political nonsense onto their corporate ethos.

The Full List: Top 100 Employers 2023

Our Top 100 Employers 2023. Below is the full list of all organisations that make up our Top 100 Employers 2023.

'Purged,' eh? very Stalinist. I'm sure all those departments are terrified now.

How did we get to the position where Stonewall got so many companies and govt departments paying for their approval? just how?

ArabeIIaKarenScott · 19/08/2023 09:49

Banks, lawyers and unis head the list, it seems.

Which is not very reassuring.

Makes sense from a Stonewall point of view. Go for the banks - because people can't run their lives without those. Unis - capture the next generation and you've got the people influencing the generations to come, ad infinitum. Capture the judicial system and your system has the force of the law behind it.

Heliotroper · 19/08/2023 09:53

After looking at the Stonewall 100, I now have the Top of the Pops theme as an earworm

It’s so bad

The Government has purged Stonewall would be have been a better headline - and more about the truth.

And “in England” would have been more accurate.

GCAcademic · 19/08/2023 09:56

What a handy list of employers to avoid if you’re a woman.

AutumnCrow · 19/08/2023 09:57

Hopefully by next year attention will have focused very much on the NHS memberships of this scheme. I know Steve 'Snail's Pace' Barclay wants the NHS to dump Stonewall, by all accounts so it may actually happen by 2024. We certainly need to keep challenging the illegality of Annexe B.

With a bit luck, Stonewall will soon be scrabbling to put together a top 3, comprising a sweet shop in Hove and the Two Spirit Societies from the Universities of GodKnowsWhere and NoIDon'tKnowEither.

TodayInahurry · 19/08/2023 09:57

This was one of the reason’s NatWest had a major disaster over de-banking Mr Farage, they have taken on board all the Stonewall, B Corp etc rules. These new dictates are totally at odds with the running of a bank and heads rolled. All the banks are involved in the evil de-banking concept. Tens of thousands have had their accounts closed. We need to keep a constant watch on these new Marxist cults

The worst thing for me, as a solicitor, is that while I can avoid the firms on the list, my regulatory body is on it, so it's not possible to avoid SW completely. It's rather worrying, to be honest.

Heliotroper · 19/08/2023 09:59

Kemi needs to go on the attack and point out the absurdity of a list produced by a charity that drops organizations as soon as the cheques dry up. Publicly challenge the fools who are still sending their money on. Tell people it is a racket.
