This shows the arrest of a teenage autistic girl by about 5 police officers. From what I can make out it is for a 'hate' crime. She apparently said a police officer was a Lesbian. Her Nan is a lesbian - that police officer is like my Nan.

I cannot comprehend the mindset of these officers.

Is there really to be no further action?

The no further action was in relation to the girl so she was released and no further action was being taken against her. I'm not sure the results of the investigation into the police's behaviour has concluded yet

YOU didn't know. WE (majority of posters) did know. You were constantly told to go and look into it to read up and then you would to. But YOU decided not to.

And when asked - "are you 100% certain its the same person?" - the majority of posters said that they can't be 100% certain, but it is more than likely to be him.

So I said that until you are certain, then you ac't assume. And hence you can't automatically link the previous incidents together.

Now that we are certain its the same person, they can be linked.

And do we know what this current allegation is?

WILTYjim · 19/08/2023 13:24

@Felix125 can you give it a rest with the forced teaming. It’s manipulative.

There isn’t a “we” that includes you.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 19/08/2023 13:32

Yes felix we do know because its always the same. Things are about to get very nasty for certain people because things can't be hidden any more.

God! Even after reading about the person we were trying to be very careful about, the fact was

YOU refused to see what was right in front of you.
YOU refused to go off and read about it so that you could see why no one was prepared to state with 100% ANYTHING.

Despite being told many times by individual posters that they did actually know who was involved and what was going and where you too could find this information even though we couldn't literally spoon feed it to you due to the limitations imposed on us by mumsnet, you still insisted on writing WE.

Do us all a favour from now on Felix and just write

I think
I can't assume
I don't Know

Felix this thread is about the arrest of an autistic girl. Have the decency to make your comments on the other thread instead of derailing this one. And please don't say 'another poster made me do it.' Just give it up man.

Well, it was boiledbeetle who brought the other thread up into this one - why not raise your complaint with them too?

I was going to write a much longer explanation as to why the two behaviours were different but I like this, succinct and accurate 😂

😱 Felix is correct!

But really Felix.

"She made me do it!"

That's what you are going with!

In that case, (as I apparently have power over what you do)

You're grounded.

No internet access for a month

And go to your room!

And don't even even bother asking for pocket money until January!

Not at all - you introduced this subject to this thread and as I said before i think its rude not to respond to a poster who asks me a question or makes a comment for me to respond to.

But since other important threads on here often get side tracked with pictures of seals, pictures of cheeses, pictures of desserts, pictures of stones etc - its more par for the course!

So don't derail any more threads or risk the wrath of Imnobody4!

Fuck it I will do my explanation anyway

Say you are at a party. You are in the living room discussing maine coons. BoiledBeetle comes in and tells you in the kitchen they are discussing red pandas and you were interested in them previously, would you like to join the conversation.

Do you:

A. Leave the people in the living room discussing maine coons and join in the discussion of red pandas in the kitchen

B. Leave the people in the living room, listen to the discussion of red pandas in the kitchen and then go back to the living room, dragging BoiledBeetle with you, and start lecturing people on red pandas in the living room, completely interrupting the conversation on maine coons and insisting that you can only talk to BoiledBeetle in the living room because that's where the conversation started.

As a handy clue, most people would go for option A.

Yes I did, because I'm not about to PM you, and it was the quickest way to alert you to a thread that was relevant to you.

"Afternoon @Felix125

The answer to all your Caroline Farrow unanswered "but we don't know who it is" questions lie in a thread on this board just waiting for you to arrive to read it. But hurry it's filling up fast. "

Nothing about my original post required you to comment on THIS THREAD.

Firstly wish I'd refreshed the page before posting as @Ifeelsuchflutterings says it better.

And to come back to thread topic, all is quiet on Twitter on the lesbian nan front.

Ifeelsuchflutterings · 20/08/2023 10:58

Apparently "taking on board lessons learnt" is the punishment for assaulting a disabled child if you are a police officer 🙄

they haven't even clarified what lessons they have learnt. It wouldn't suprise me if the lesson they learnt was to confiscate people's phones before intimidating and assaulting a disabled child.

Without a clear explanation of what lessons they think they have learnt how are we supposed to trust them.

Individually you could maybe, maybe write these things off as one area force has been captured! But when you look at just about every police force (looking at you Northumbria Police with your issue over people retweeting about the adult baby who goes into schools).

But it's just so apparent that the police have abandoned the majority of the population to pander to the whims of a select few.

So i don't expect WYP to actually get their act together over lesbian nan. In fact I'd bet money on them still not seeing/understanding what they actually did wrong

TRA HERE

You bloody GC women, you are so bloody rude!
When I try to berate you, you just start to talk of food.

When I throw a strop because you say lesbians don’t do dick
You start to talk of Tunnocks and which product you would pick.

When I try repeatedly to tell you that those men are actually shes
You just start to witter on about different types of cheese.

When I try to explain that women’s stuff is ours to take
You begin to debate the merits of different types of cake.

I just don’t understand why you start to talk of food
Every time I try to tell you that woman’s not a dude.

It's sad isn't it. Years spent raising awareness of the fact that people with disability issues, however they manifest, deserve to be treated respectfully and justly. Yet some modern diversity training and all protected characteristics are thrown out the window in favour of feelings.

I've recently had a run in with a rainbow lanyard wearing ambulance transport driver who thought now he'd been diversity trained meant he got to treat disabled people (the whole pint of his job is to transport disabled people) like crap on the bottom of his shoe!

IcakethereforeIam · 20/08/2023 11:59

YouTube showed me a piece about this from Sky News Australia, an opinion/polemic as much as news. It had clips from the film and the presenters thoughts.

Lesbian Nan's gone global! ☺️

Say you are at a party.....

Not quite as straightforward but since you used this thread, concerning the arrest of an autistic girl, to explain your reasoning I will do the same.

Say you are at a party. You are in the living room discussing maine coons. BoiledBeetle comes in and tells you in the kitchen they are discussing red pandas and you were interested in them previously, would you like to join the conversation.

I try and find the kitchen but cannot do so, so i come back into the front room to ask BoiledBeetle where it was - so they direct me to it. Whilst in the kitchen I can hear the conversation still ongoing in the front room and they start to discuss red pandas and also mention me in that conversation.

We now have a scenario where red pandas are being discussed in both rooms.

I then re-enter the conversation in the front room which at the time is now discussing red pandas.

But you are saying that its fine for everyone else in the front room to discuss red pandas, but i can not join in that conversation. You state that you can only discuss maine coons in the front room and red pandas in the kitchen and no other subjects are allowed in those rooms as you can not go 'off topic' under any circumstances. But its OK for other people to do so?

When I point out that that other conversations in the other rooms at this party often go completely off topic (talking sporadically about seals, desserts, cheese, stones, time travel etc etc). Then this appears to be alright, even though there is no logic as to when and how often this 'off topic talk' can happen - but i can not do it but anyone else can.

I feel like the issue here is you probably don't get invited to parties much

However even if you respond to this message I will not be responding further as you use this "if someone says something to me I have to respond" to ensure you always have the last word. So in the interests of not derailing the thread further, go ahead and have it.
