There are rapists in the labour party but we don't condemn an entire group - wtf??? Disingenuous suggestion from Belcher that the Bryson case is an attempt to put all transwoemn in prison or something, total refusal to engage with the actual question.

Encouraging news. Belcher was incoherent and evasive - there’s no position on the Isla Bryson fiasco that Belcher can take that doesn’t let in more glorious sunlight.

The whole thing about the GRC being so 'inhumane' because of the 'faceless five' panel 'who we never meet but who decide whether we're trans' (in Belcher's words) intrigues me. Does anyone ever get turned down by this panel? I'd like to know what the rate of refusal for a GRC is.

After listening I'm not sure what Belcher's argument was. That bored, cynical tone they use does them no favours if they want to win public sympathy though. They sounded just like a sulky, entitled... person... who is being thwarted from getting everything their way.

Belcher? Is that their actual name? I thought it was from the way they were answering questions.

I suggest that if Belcher is aware of rapists in the Labour Party the police are given the details, then these rapists can hopefully be put in prison in the men’s estate where all penis bearing convicted criminals belong regardless of how they would like others to perceive them or if they believe they have a womanly soul.

Yes people are turned down for GRCs but I don't know the numbers. Amoung the reasons given were that they were pedophiles! I suspect they weed out fetishists too. I can see why they want to get rid of the medical panel 🙄

Belcher appears to have had quite an influence on the Lib Dems on trans issues, despite only being a councillor.

All the panel does is look at submitted documents such as utility bills and a medical report to see if they fulfil the requirements.

It's nothing like as intrusive as applying for some disability benefits, which people may actually need in order to live.

That's all I need to know for now.
