Webberley is up for some Diversity award. Kelly isn't, so far as I'm aware but, as a sop, I'd be surprised is there wasn't something bestowed some sort of attagirl. I think it would be more to keep Stonewall and its supporters sweet. If she doesn't get anything! Well!

With old fashioned balance scales, not electronic ones, you don't even have to weigh the eggs. You use the eggs instead of weights to measure out the flour and sugar for a Victoria sponge.

I should have said "to weigh out" rather than "measure out"

I have got a single pan spring scale, with a mechanical action, no electronic stuff to run out of batteries, or to go in a huff and die.

Not everyone bases their conversations about a theme entirely around what appears on twitter. As far as I'm concernedthis cake talk has killed the thread.

It's only a small sample size, and I'm aware the attached shows which way I voted but 2/3rds of those surveyed think she was pushed.

With old fashioned balance scales, not electronic ones

My first job, I had to weight stuff out to 0.01g using old fashioned balance scales. Had to use tweezers to add tiny little flakes of metal and not breathe to get the bloody thing to balance.

Was thrilled when the boss finally bit the bullet and paid ££££ for electronic scales.

I looked back to when Ruth Hunt left and her notice period was about 6 months. She was there for about a decade before she left. However, her predecessor (Ben Summerskill) wasn't there for long. Before him, Angela Mason was the Director for about 10 years. In my experience, charities would prefer a transition period in which new directors/CEOs get a good induction but often this doesn't happen, especially if there are divisions within the organisation .

I wonder what would have happened if Stonewall had had a Sliding Doors momement and had appointed a powerful person who campaigned against the many instances of homophobia that still exist. Instead it has become Campaign Lite whereby there is too much cosying up to institutions that haven't actually served the LGBT+ community well (eg Barking murders) but are always ready to threaten women for placing a few stickers in public places or making the odd tweet.

I wonder what would have happened if Stonewall had had a Sliding Doors momement and had appointed a powerful person who campaigned against the many instances of homophobia that still exist.
