Are we beginning to see the push back against the extreme left

As I read this article and the descriptions of these women and their political agenda all I could think of is how far to the left the Overton window has been pushed that these women are considered far right, the fact that these women are not the typical/traditional Conservative type is mentioned and that a lot of this is due to a push back against trans demands. Quite a refreshing article that gives me hope that the extreme left have massively over played their hand.

The march of Europe’s right-wing women

The British Conservative party may be hopelessly behind in the polls, yet all over Europe the right is surging ahead. Everywhere you look, the left is losing – in Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Hungary and now, following an election victory for...

Gender idology has nothing to do with the left/right divide.

For one thing, it follows on from LGB activism, and LGB activism is presumably left-wing. Yes it became mainstream as I just mentioned and accepted by some conservatives. But I would have thought that LGB activism has very largely considered itself a left-wing movement.

Then you can look at America where:

'Save women's sports' bill passes House with zero votes from Dems, who call it transgender 'bullying'

Democrats on Thursday voted against a bill aimed at preventing biological males from competing against females as transgender athletes, a bill Dems equated to bullying.

Trans people aren't inherently left or right aligned

Binary trans people aren’t. I’ve never seen a “non-binary” person confess to being conservative or Republican though. I wonder why that is?

I think we have at least 1 Non binary Tory MP, as well as a Trans.

I was mistaken.

Gender ideology does not follow on from gay rights; its a backlash to them. Its not left wing either, its neoliberal.

Marine Le Pen and other fascists lump trans rights in with things that they say come from the Outside. They are voted for by people who want to stop things coming from the Outside and ultimately are prepared to close their eyes to how that is done. Alongside those who quite fancy putting the boot in themselves. It looks wrong to them, is associated with public LGB liberation and therefore must come from the Outside.

The soft left are more likely to see the enemy as within themselves - in the old days when the nonconformist faiths were heavily represented in Labour, there was a stronger sense of rooting out personal prejudice and conflating it with sin. Once you identify the enemy as your own thoughts, the process is endless. It no longer has much of a moral framework attached but there is thorough enjoyment of denouncing others.

Id put myself on the softest of soft/social democratic left. I don't deny that I have plenty of prejudices and I'd rather the country wasn't run according to my worst instincts - still less Marine Le Pen's worst instincts, God help us. It is true that toleration and acceptance of minorities is generally positive. Show me how to say 'trans rights' without having to say 'transwomen are women' with all that has led us to, and I'll be there.

Another far left political party:

https://www.socialistparty.org.uk/articles/33473/15-12-2021/stonewall-attacked-by-the-establishment/

"Stonewall has been targeted as part of a sustained campaign by right-wing journalists and politicians, with mistaken support from some in the women’s and labour movement, to present trans and non-binary people’s rights as conflicting with women’s rights."

Do stop saying that the “extreme left” support trans ideology- they categorically do not!
The Communist Party of GB is gender critical, views women as a sex class and fully accepts that their oppression is sex related.
It is the liberal left of centre- Labour, Lib Dem’s, Greens - who are peddling this crap.
DD is the Women’s Officer for the Edinburgh branch of the Communists, and is so gender critical she actually writes and performs the Dylan Mulvaney send up spoof on Youtube called “Days of Boyhood”.

Your DD is fantastic! Agree - it’s the liberal left of Centre pushing this. And I’ll add for some posters that it’s not the ‘LGBT agenda’. The forced teaming must stop. The Ls are very much viciously targeted and harassed (and sometimes physically attacked) for not wanting to date TW with dick and balls. Young butch Ls are being told they’re actually straight boys or ‘non-binary’ if they’re not into traditionally feminine interests and clothes. And now Transmen are starting in on old-school Gs for not accepting that ‘some men have vaginas’. This is a regressive, incoherent Q/T ideology.

Whether you think it should do, or is consistent with it, I think it has in practice followed on from LGB activism.
