Bouman is currently active on LinkedIn and his LinkedIn profile still lists him as:
Honorary Professor School of Medicine
University of Nottingham, United Kingdom
Aug 2018 - Present · 4 yrs 10 mos
Consultant in Trans Health
Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health · Part-time
Oct 2017 - Present · 5 yrs 8 mos
Nottingham, United Kingdom
- Responsibilities include provide clinical care, including hormone treatment for trans people; training and education in transgender healthcare; as well as involvement in national and international organisations promoting the care and rights of trans people.
But his name is not found anywhere on either the University of Nottingham or the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health websites.
He links to a "Meet The Team" document on LinkedIn for the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health (NCTH) but the document does not exist.
This is the actual "Meet the team page" and he is not on it:
https://ncth.nhs.uk/meet-the-staff
His contact link goes to a page on Nottinghamshire Health Care NHS Trust that does not exist.
However, he is still listed by the Government as working for NCTH:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/gender-recognition-certificate-list-of-medical-practitioners-in-gender-dysphoria/doctors-and-psychologists-specialising-in-gender-dysphoria#east-midlands
He is still registered with the GMC:
https://www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/3502251
He is still registered as a member of the College for Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapy:
https://www.psychotherapy.org.uk/therapist/walter-pierre-bouman-iajymaac/
Both Nottingham University and the NCTH are mentioned in his bio for the GenderCOS project researching "Core Outcome Sets for Genital Gender Surgery":
https://www.gendercos.org/team
Yet, bizarrely, he does not get the slightest name-check on the websites of the two UK institutions with which he claims affiliation: Nottingham University and Nottinghamshire Health Care NHS Trust's Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health.
Even if he is only an Honorary Professor in the Medical School at Nottingham University and a part-timer at NCTH it is weird that neither mention that they are associated with such a big cheese in WPATH and EPATH.
I don't know what to make if it.
Maybe some of the medics on the thread can make sense of it?
