I have a pair of my own youth, one told me I was ridiculous as no-one wanted male rapists in women's prisons, I was making it up. Then there were male rapists in women's prisons because that's what was wanted.
They read free stuff from the Guardian and such like and get a very limited view on a lot of subjects.
A young female family member of the Potter generation said that JK Rowling shouldn't have said anything. It's not what she said, she simply ought not to mention the unmentioned, it's not nice.
This generation is surprisingly traditional on this really, thinking it's not done to mention that TW are men, we know but don't talk about it as that's something to discreetly ignore, and trusting that although no-one talks about this as it's not polite, there obviously must be polite but discreet people already managing the rapist issue.
It's a bit odd how we have to politely look away from the sexual nature of it at the same time as sex is everywhere, in every Netflix show, every hook up site, every social media, non stop public humping like randy dogs, but 20 somethings are appalled if we mention sex in relation to wearing women's clothes.
I think it's the only acceptable modern prudery TBH and they are appalled that older people have the cheek to know something about it and talk about it square on.
