Wow, I just caught up with what Grimes has been doing for the past few years. I had no idea she and Elon had a second child (via surrogate).

Given that Grimes and Elon are so into the idea of transhumanism, I was initially a little surprised by his stance - but actually, 'no life changing interventions for minors' is fully compatible with 'informed consent for adults (for anything/everything)'.

I find it really weird when people say "I'm disappointed that x person agrees that humans can't change sex/sterilising kids is wrong/men shouldn't be in women's prisons". Infant EVERYONE to believe that stuff because its all objectively true.

I agree with this entirely.

I find Elon Musk to be a fascinating, intriguing human - a rich man who isn't afraid to do things differently. And having someone with that degree of power advocating for science and fact isn't a bad thing.

I don't agree with him on everything, but that's OK. I don't think he's a total arse, nor completely bad.

I do think the fact that he's autistic means that he sometimes communicates in a way that other people find awkward or uncomfortable. Or holds views that don't jibe well with popular consensus. I think sometimes this is what contributes to people's dislike of him.

(For transparency, I'm also autistic)

Donald Trump - I find it very difficult to find anything positive to say about the man. That's not the case with Elon - I disagree with him vehemently on some points but agree entirely on others. I don't think he's inherently a "bad" person unlike the aforementioned ex-President.

I went down a bit of a Twitter rabbit hole tonight - de-transitioner posts. I can’t believe these children were allowed to make such radical decisions.

And then I saw a post Rosie shared from a disabled woman wanting her carers to be female because of the intimate care she needed. Don’t her rights matter?

He's got all these children but I don't think any of them were fathered in the traditional manner. Odd.

I think EM comes across as surprisingly normal and I quite like him on twitter. I don't really get the hate. He's already made twitter a far less toxic place by removing most of the terrible censorship around GC viewpoints.

You don't have to like Elon Musk. I don't, particularly. But let's be honest, everyone who isn't a complete fucking loon understands that humans can't change sex. Everyone who has any kind of moral compass at all understands that you shouldn't put children on harmful puberty blockers that could cause them lifelong damage. The really astonishing thing is that there are people who claim to believe that humans can change sex and puberty blockers are fine, presumably because they are too stupid or cowardly to defy the current progressive orthodoxy.

They're not really views, on the whole though. They're just facts. All kinds of people, all types and ideolgies, tend to agree on basic facts.

It's not weird that people from all walks of life agree that transwomen are men. Because they simply are. Likewise its not weird that all sorts of people are against medically castrating or surgically deforming children. It's kind of the default for humans to not do those things.
