Is going through her peaking journey in public late at night on Twitter. She will get there eventually but the mind twists she is having to go through are excruciating to watch.

Be kind y’all - but hmmm maybe not in women’s sports and safe spaces. Ooooook Kirstie. So we are kind sometimes but not all the time? That’s cleared that up then.

She is doing a ‘Keir Starmer’. The fence sitting is hurting her nether regions.

Yeah, that reads like the only reason she can think of having a secret phone is because you’re cheating on your other half- not that you might need one for safety reasons.

Kirstie's latest ill judged tweet -

twitter.com/KirstieMAllsopp/status/1650137672789229570?s=20

Given the fear I've seen on various platforms from people in abusive relationships, scared that their hidden phone would be revealed, the addition of the laughing face emoji seems particularly unpleasant.

Interesting, she has a complete inability to say she might have misjudged a situation. How hard would it have been to say, ‘oh I didn’t think of that’ wrt the phones and DV

Yes, it was pretty thoughtless but she basically doubled down saying aren’t I allowed to make a joke? I fear she may fancy herself as a bit of a comedian. Women’s rights certainly don’t seem to be on Kirstie’s radar.

Women’s rights certainly don’t seem to be on Kirstie’s radar.

No. And I suspect that's part of it.

Almost everyone, now, knows that the government alarm could have a negative impact on domestic abuse victims. It's been in the papers, it's on the radio. Most people are quite aware of it as one of the reasons for pushback.

But not Kirstie.

So much so, that even when it's pointed out, it still isn't ringing any bells for her.

She's tone deaf, because she's completely uninterested in women's rights and can't read the room.

Waitwhat23 · 23/04/2023 18:35

Most people would have said 'oh wow, I hadn't realised that might be an issue - I hope no one was affected in that way'.

But no, a doubling down. She's spent the last week saying uninformed stuff and when given arguments/evidence has either blocked, ignored or doubled down.

I didn't have any particular opinion of her before. Now I think she's a fud.

MargotBamborough · 23/04/2023 19:14

The reason Kirstie says things like this is because she is incredibly privileged, and because the confidence and opportunities she was given as a result of her privileged upbringing have allowed her to have a successful career, she believes herself to be far more intelligent than she actually is.

All this stuff about trans women being women (except in certain circumstances, which means you don't actually believe they are women but believe you must pretend you do) is typical of the kind of woman who knows nothing about the conditions in women's prisons, has never attended a rape counselling group, has never needed to use a domestic violence shelter, and has rarely if ever needed to use a public toilet or changing room. She therefore feels entitled to be generous with other women's spaces and safety when offering to share them with trans women. This is what I like to call "Emma Watson feminism".

If you're familiar with Kirstie's opinions about how young people would be able to afford houses if they cancelled their Netflix subscriptions and gym memberships, this kind of tone deaf stupidity isn't surprising.

I'm not sure we need to pay much attention to what the daughter of a hereditary peer has to say on either of these topics.
