Be kind y’all - but hmmm maybe not in women’s sports and safe spaces. Ooooook Kirstie. So we are kind sometimes but not all the time? That’s cleared that up then.

To see dylan as just a harmless theatre kid who isnt harming anyone is ignoring or not understanding deeper issues.

Assuming Allsop is happy to indulge twaw sometimes, but not when it counts, why doesnt she see the the problem of normalising men carrying around tampaxes? Why are we teaching girls that a man in the ladies offering sanitary products to them is okay? Is it ok?

If she has done lots of research, and concluded that girls can ask men for pads if they happen to be in a public loo with them, why doesnt she explain that, rather than just asking us to be kind, and not critise?

Funny how the scolding silencer is never used to suggest the men grotesquely performing woman-face should #BeKind by dropping the offensive stereotyping in their validity seeking theatre;

Or that trans identifying rapists are never urged to #BeKind and consider the impact their male bodies and proven violent behaviour may have on incarcerated women;

Or how mediocre male athletes are never pressured to #BeKind and leave women to compete against each other and have private changing facilities where their privacy and consent isn't obliterated.

Quite frankly #BeKind and anyone parroting it at women at this point can Kindly fuck off.

Some people just have good memory recall for arguments, they copy others and never think it through.

I’m sorry but I do judge anyone who has done all the research (sports, prisons, womens safe spaces, transing kids AGP) and comes to the conclusion that twaw and should always be treated as such. There is no way I can understand the logic of these people.

Strikes me that KA is an out and out TERF she just doesn't know that she is. How is she getting away with saying stuff like this without experiencing the same treatment as all the other bad women. Trans activist Twitter won't stand by her for long if she keeps coming out with stuff like this...

Indeed Signalbox. And she might just start having a little think about her trite argument that we can’t tell who is good and who is bad so we just have to be kind and think of the good in people - just like she does every time she gives the delivery man the security code to her gates and trusts he doesn’t come back later to do her harm. She hasn’t yet answered the obvious question to that - but why have gates and security codes at all then Kirsty, just leave your doors wide open and trust everybody is good and kind……

Upper class girls' education was often not taken that seriously when Kirstie was at school (not meaning to be ageist - I'm older than her). She moved around loads of schools, as well as not going to university, and it shows. I'm not saying you have to have a formal education to be intelligent, of course, but a good formal education does tend to teach you to structure an argument. You can see from Twitter than she can't do that - she's flailing around and she can't see more than one answer ahead, so she is wildly inconsistent.

From watching her on-screen interaction with Phil Spencer she strikes me as someone who relates strongly to gendered cliches, even if it is from a sort of fluffy 'girl power' perspective. She's very much a proponent of women's intuition and feminine wiles and women being the real decision-makers in a relationship. Which of course they often are, but equally may not be so much, depending on the personalities involved.

She seems to invoke a sort of soft-edged, pink alternative to that unattractive shrill feminism. I have older women in my family from the same privileged background and school of thinking, one of whom is fond of the phrase 'you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar'. To her, and I suspect KA, 'the battle of the sexes' is a sort of mating dance rather than a life and death fight for essential rights.

I couldn't always make good arguments and don't have a sky high IQ, it is not low either.

Even low IQ people know what a man and woman are they also understand danger.

Although you get some people with learning disabilities who are nasty and aggressive when it's pointed out that they are wrong, most have a low self esteem and go over something serveral times to work out if it is right because they know that they aren't great in that area, where as they may be great at sales or art.

I think it's a gigantic ego issue with Kirstie.

She doesn’t understand why women are so angry about all this. She is likening ‘top surgery’ to having mastectomy because of potential breast cancer. She is saying that terfs are abusive. I fear she was nearly over the line but has been cornered by women’s fury and can no longer back out.

She is also accusing a member of the House of Lords of ‘stunt behaviour. It’s painful to watch.

It’s like she has jauntily skipped unknowingly into this row and was like woah woah what’s going on here then. She literally has NO IDEA!

She’s really thrown herself into the ring hasn’t she? I wonder what prompted that? It’s only a matter of time before they turn on her though because she doesn’t like the word “cis” and thinks there is still a debate to be had about men competing in female sporting categories.

She thinks that women requesting single sex care are demonising male nurses. She has accused the father of a disabled child of 'using his daughter' .

I knew something had happened when I saw Billy Bragg had retweeted some of Kirstie Allsopp's tweets 😀 To be fair to Kirstie, it's only when you actually read some of the threatening tweets to even the most mild mannered defenders of single sex spaces that you realise that 'be kind' rarely works both ways.

I think she accidentally tumbled in.

She actually does believe in safe spaces for women and women only sport. But she didn’t understand why women were feeling mocked by Dylan M. And because Dylan has been in the press a lot recently she thought she would make a simply comment about the fact she doesn’t feel mocked by him.

And whoosh. She was in. But she hasn’t studied it all at all and so she has been scooped up by the likes of LOJ and Katy M and India W - all men who are loving their new female ally. It’s painful to watch for all of us who know the score.

She tweeted in Jan about the absurdity of a male rapist in a female prison. Surely she can’t do an about turn on that too. She doesn’t realise that if you don’t believe in one thing eg a male rapist in a female prison - then you can’t believe in any of it. The whole thing unravels. She wants to draw some kind of nebulous line. She doesn’t get it yet that this is not possible. She lacks that intellect I think. Either that or she simply hasn’t don’t the thinking.

It is clear which side she is coming down firmly on, perhaps she has a book/ new TV series coming out?
