It also shows that she has no concept about safeguarding. Her attitude is that we should be happy to celebrate dylan Mulvaney in the woman and girls loos handing out tampaxes right up to the point the line has been crossed. And priorities the feelings of a care giver over the safety and comfort of children being cared for.

She's an adult and mother so i assume protected her children from danger, and didnt trust just anyone with her children. Yet she's happy to wave away concerns for other children.

I think shes worse than the likes of owen jones and Montgomery because they arent parents so have no experience. Shes willfully pretending safeguarding isnt important to appease mens rights.

She thinks that women requesting single sex care are demonising male nurses.

This is such a piss poor argument. When I had a hysterectomy, my gynae surgeon was male, and the nurse assigned to my room afterwards was male. Would I rather they'd been female? Yes, probably.

But there were two clear mitigating factors.

1. Traceability. I knew who these men were, who they answered to, what their function and responsibilities were in the organisation, and what was expected of their conduct.
2. They were males who knew that they were males and behaved in an appropriate way, in accordance with the rules around males in the medical service. They were not males asking me to believe that they were female. They were not asking me to be a human prop in a creepy lie.

Huge difference.

I always quite liked her programmes. I don’t think I can watch any more, knowing her contempt for women. It’s been a real eye opener, and not in a good way.

Kirstie is putting her cognitive dissonance on public display. She thinks there are issues with allowing any man into women's spaces but she's so desperate to hold onto "be kind".

So many hard of thinking people wade in imagining that what we're dealing with is a breakdown in communication and if we were all just more tolerant we could find a solution; the arrogance of it pisses me off. Kirstie is blocking or ignoring the people who are providing her with the evidence that this is not the case. I think she is likely to double down because when she does actually realise what's happening it will be too difficult to admit her stupidity.

Once you see the problems with self ID you can't unsee them and they are very obvious to anyone who thinks about it for a few minutes.

Kirstie is kinda where I was circa 2017 but with an extra layer of entitlement due to being cushioned from the realities of trans overreach by money and filled to the brim with that really specific confidence that comes with being part of the ‘posh celebrity totty’ set.

The late-life transitioners she’s known up til now are going to be the Caitlin-Jenner-in-the-golf-club types.

She’s not stupid so she knows something isn’t quite right but she’s clinging onto the idea that the terves are overreacting and if we were all just a little more cool-girl like Kirstie and a little less lesbian-sensible-shoes like Kathleen (and a little bit kinder than Posie) she can get all this mess sorted right out and still have time for a Lovely Gin Picnic from a Cath Kidston Basket.

She’s never going to get banged up with Karen White for shoplifting her Waitrose steaks and she doesn’t have any friends or family who will either.

And no doubt she knows several media luvvies whose trans identifying teenagers give terribly clever, completely uninvited lectures about social justice to the Wine Sozzled guests at their parent’s Islington Dinner Parties.

I expect she’ll peak when she realises just how much her new TW friends secretly hate her.

She's also trying the "both sides" nonsense. Funny how it's a supposedly GC account she using as an example of toxicity. You could be forgiven for thinking she hasn't been supplied with many examples of TRA rape and death threats but yeah women are the problem. FFS

I wonder what the people she engages with in real life are saying to her? I’d be surprised if she doesn’t get people backing away from her after the twitter stuff.
I don’t really know any women who believe TWAW now, everyone has come out of hiding. I hear conversations about it regularly now. Even my dd and her friends don’t believe it. And they were full on “be kind” at uni.
I know one person who does believe it, and they are married to a prominent TW, who transitioned in middle age after having children. They chose to stay married. So they have to go along with it.

I hope she tries out a terf block list made by a TRA and finds all her actual mates magically vanish.

I will say it again coupled that break boundaries like marriage and have affairs are wired up differently, they already are a Queer theory type.

I was wondering if a young person close and dear to her has suddenly come out as trans? It might account for her confusion and lack of information coupled with an emotional pull to the Be Kind side, which are at odds with her instinctive agreement with many GC positions on sport, refuges, prisons, etc.

I genuinely think that people in that position are in difficulties and I can see how it has affected Labour's ability to formulate a coherent approach.

The aim seems to have been to hobble politicians as well as ordinary people, who would look like they were attacking their own children, or other young people close to them, if they spoke out about gender ideology. They seem to have succeeded with a lot of them.

The hilarious thing about this debacle is Kirstie keeps unawarely saying things which are extremely TERFY, but because she’s sticking it to the TERFS the trans rights side are gritting their teeth and letting her get away with saying stuff which JKR has been cancelled for. A trans rights activist will say stuff like “thank you for being a trans ally kirstie” and she straight up responds with “I’m not an ally , I think it’s terrible that children under 18 are being sterilised and put on hormone blockers”. I wonder if they’ll eventually get fed up and cast her on the TERF pile anyway?

I remember when Labour were proposing a wealth tax on property over £3million (at the same time as the Tories introduced the bedroom tax) and she was all 'But what about the poor millionaires?' She never going to be reliant on the NHS or whatever home care assistant the state decides to send her. She's never going to need a homeless shelter or domestic violence refuge. Her children are never going to be stuck with the local school or the cheapest shared uni accommodation they can afford. She's wonderfully 'I'm alright, Jack!' and 'Do it to Julia!'

Of course they will - it's amazing they haven't already, as they usually lack the insight and tactical awareness to hold back.
