Starmer insults women’s intelligence to blame Sunak for judicial failures when it was Starmer’s CPS that failed to prosecute rapists

IwantToRetire · 11/04/2023 00:25

I am so fed up with politicians and their seedy bully boy tactics.

So Starmer having failed to get personal approval from voters who rate Sunak higher than him, doesn't think maybe I should try harder to be more relevant to voters.

No he decides to roll in the gutter and use personal attacks. https://www.jackfm.co.uk/news/politics/labour-takes-inspiration-from-australia-with-sunak-attack-ads-but-they-need-more-to-pull-off-a-proper-ousting/

I'm not saying the Tories are blameless, but lets face it, it was/is the CPS who continued/s to fail to prosecute rapists even when the police present evidence, because the CPS only want to take on sure fire winning court cases to up their stats.

So not only has Labour tried to make out Sunak (who became as MP the same year as Starmer) personally doesn't want child abusers to go to prison, but now has plagerised women campaign's slogan about how rape has been decriminalised. https://rapecrisis.org.uk/get-informed/the-decriminalisation-of-rape/

And yet Labour still doesn't know what a woman is, nor have they re-admitted women expelled from Labour for saying women are biological females. But think our tiny emotional brains will be overwhelmed by their crass statements about women's issues.

Labour seem to think that because this sort of politcal sloganeering used by the vote leave party were sucessful during the Brexit campaign, that this is how they will win the next election.

Which is worse? That our politicians think voters are such dimwits. Or that they might be right. https://labourlist.org/2023/04/labour-attack-ad-rishi-sunak-crime-twitter-controversial-advert/

It is to the credit of the Tories, which I am saying not because I am a Tory but appreciate integrity, that as a result of the consultation, and the huge push back by women about the loss of women's sex based rights, that the Tories put self id on hold.

And it is worrying to think that had Labour been in power at the time, they would most probably have ignored women, as they are doing now (or even banning them) and self id would probably be enshrined in law now.

Repeating the above because this the reality I've been living through.

Also I saw Johnson say what a woman was on camera quite bluntly and that biological differences between the sexes mattered. I've just googled and yes indeed, there were loads of articles about it mid last year. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10955615/Boris-Johnson-says-difference-woman-trans-woman.html

And if Labour had been in power we'd be NZ where a baying mob tried very hard to kill a woman for saying women don't have penises, and a 70 year old woman got her skull cracked after being punched by a misogynist male high on woman hatred, encouraged by politicians and the media. Or Canada where that ridiculous prosthetic breast teacher was allowed to gaslight children for months and months and months - putting the children's needs well below an adult males fetish / mental disorder / trolling political statement / authentic identity (depending on what you believe). But definitely the children's needs were dead last. Or Scotland where 6ft5 Dolatowski is out of prison after attacking a 10 year old and filming another child and breaching his bail repeatedly, despite his father begging the authorities to lock him up because he's a clear danger to children. Or Isla Bryson in his pink leggings, or the rapist who hasn't even been sent to jail after raping a 13 year old in a park.

As previously discussed in this thread, things can always get worse. The Tories might not be great, but they're very clearly the least worst option by some margin because they are at least pretending (I am sure in some cases) to care about women's and children's rights - and in the case of women like Miriam Cates and Kemi Badenoch I believe they really do care. And these women are not abused and gaslighted by their own party for caring about safeguarding.

Have just found this - which would have been a better OP!

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/listen-emily-thornberrys-car-crash-interview-on-sunak-smear/

Not only did she not seem to know that K S himself was one of the people who set
out the sentencing guidelines for child sexual abuse, but after she had said that Labour would ensure that every convicted child sex abuse would get a prison sentence, and so the interviewer had asked if Labour would, in that case, build the extra prisons that would be necessary to put everyone of those convicted of child sexual abuse in prison, she said no because they would increase community policing and this would prevent child sexual abuse in the first place. That is all complete nonsense. Gobbledygook.

Listen: Emily Thornberry’s car crash interview on Sunak smear

What do you do when you’re in a hole? Stop digging. Apparently Emily Thornberry didn’t get the memo. The Shadow Attorney General was wheeled out on the Easter Monday media round to defend Labour’s attack advert which claims that Rishi Sunak isn’t tough...

Yeah, I didn't really understand how the extra police on patrol was going to help - does she think most child sex abuse happens in public? Or are they going to be marching around scrutinising every adult/child interaction to see if it could be possibly indicate child sex abuse - is it a dad innocently tickling his children to make them giggle or is he trying to groom them so they're used to adults touching them... pretty terrifying thought, hope they clarify.

Didn't she say they would install people in schools?

Not quite sure how that would work. Looking out for children who might be abused? Because that still begs the question of what you're going to do with the abuser.

Or maybe identifying children who haven't been abused but would be potentially? Neat trick if you can pull that off 🙄

As Scrolling says, gobbledegook.

I'm torn between the faux "think that's what Conservatives for Women are?" and the "only 50% of Tory MPs know what a woman is". There again, the alleged silence of Tory supporting media is a good one too.

So much bollocks.

My figure of 50% comes from this thread, where a member talks about the figures in the latest newsletter. It's at the bottom of the page.

As for the role of the media, our first Trans MP wouldn't be able to sneeze without the Mail covering it if he was a member of any other party. They report every time AR as much as rolls her eyes at the government.

IwantToRetire · 12/04/2023 00:30

They have shown no integrity OP. May didn't know what a woman was. Johnson didn't know what a woman was. Sunak didn't know what a woman was

Dear oh dear. I thought posters on this thread were claiming to be politically aware.

When you are in Government it is your responsibility to take into account facts, figures (hello liz truss) as well as voters opinion. Being the ruling party isn't about an MP going me, me, me, what I believe.

I suspect that is why Theresa May got such a negative reception because she was like some dutiful employee doing what she was led to believe was the right thing to do. Even taking on the complete dog's diner and lies of the Brexit campaign promises.

The integrity is that they had a consultation and responded to that. In other words they didn't do what many Labour administrations do which is go we know waht is best for you, you silly simple people and will impose our higher understanding on you even if it makes your life worse.

Your comments just show how out of touch peole have become with what is meant to be the democratic process. We dont have elections to put a dictator in power.

Comments earlier on about how this thread must be the product of tory central office or something and how this kept happening on FWR just shows posters dont read most threads on the forum where most women are alienated Labour voters, quite a few floating voters, all of whom express their concerns about how few true options there are for voting.

Far from FWR being infiltrated by Tory apparatchik, it seems poor incel Labour has impressed some of their handmaidens to come on threads like this with the really inventive, and deeply thought out analysis that if you criticise Labour you must be a Tory.

No wonder Labour policies blunder from one foot in mouth to another.

Am beginning to think that we better all start brushing up on our public speaking and stand as candidates for KJK Women's Party.

Two party politics seems to turn people into pre-programmed androids.

Yikes, that itself sounds pretty worrying; would many people be happy with their children being watched and potentially questioned at school in case they say something 'concerning'? And identifying children that are 'likely' to be abused? I would hope that cases where is seems like a strong possibility would already be monitored (though I doubt they are, enough anyway). But how might this identification work - children from poor backgrounds, or certain areas or cultures being watched like hawks and interrogated like they're trying to hide something whilst the little rich kid or the little brown kid gets ignored because they're not likely targets... I would think (though I'm certainly no expert) that monitoring changes in behaviour and developing a strong level of trust with the child would be the most helpful tactics, surely teachers would be the best placed for this; I certainly wouldn't want the police to do it!

TooBigForMyBoots · 12/04/2023 02:20

I'm not a Labour handmaiden.Shock I've never voted Labour in my life OP. Loads of people throughout the UK can't stand the Tories, are sick of their lies and utter lack of integrity. It is a mistake to assume they are Labour supporters just because they voice their views.

Whaeanui · 12/04/2023 06:05

Needmoresleep · 12/04/2023 07:33

I am still doggedly canvassing in my bid to become a Councillor. Yesterday was wet. The forecast for today is worse. These are local elections and as time goes on, and I hear more stories, my motivation is increasingly to get elected in order to be a good Ward Councillor. Plenty of people need help to navigate the system. The system needs elected representatives who understand enough to work constructively to improve things. Councils are there to deliver services. Party priorities have some impact, but good and cost effective service delivery should be a priority for everyone.

I meet the odd tribal “ABC” (anyone but Conservative) who gloats that they would never vote for me. Fine, you get your kicks somewhere. Equally an elderly lady living in a grim tower block (reasons why it is grim would be outing, but it really is and should not be) assured me she would vote Conservative. She always did, but had no idea why.

Most people are not as fixed. Very much like on this thread. They will vote for whoever they feel will best deliver the things that matter to them.

One bloke happily ranted about the Tories and how he could not wait to see the Council’s Tory administration booted out. But then confessed he would vote for Rishi in the General Election. He was a small businessman and could not afford not to. The last few years have been tough and he did not trust Keir to understand the challenges he faced and to protect him.

Many women will feel the same. The Tories are turning the tanker around on gender bollox. There is a whole load still to do, especially in schools and Universities, but when looking around we can be proud of our Terf Island. Can women risk voting for Keir? Where is the evidence that he understands the challenges women face or the need to protect us.

Simple really. If Keir were to adopt the current Tory approach on gender, he could feel confident in booking the removal van. No need then for the apparently desperate attack politics. Instead he could focus ensuring that enough voters from different backgrounds, trust him to do a better job than Rishi.

(My own guess is that a clear schools approach is taking so long because of the need for compassion. There are plenty of vulnerable socially awkward gender questioning kids in schools. It is much easier to change rules around allocation of hospital beds or prison cells. These kids were fed a lie, in part because many schools happily accepted the affirmation only approach flogged by Mermaids, Stonewall etc. Head teachers can’t just turn around and tell these kids”we were wrong.”)

It is the case.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/society/2017/oct/18/theresa-may-plans-to-let-people-change-gender-without-medical-checks

She let people change gender without medical checks. And since then genderwoo has been written into policy, allowing male sex offenders to be put on women's wards and in women's prisons, where they sexually assaulted women. Allowing boys into girls' facilities in school. Opening the floodgates so we are in the mess we're in now.

Some Tories claim to be "rolling back" but they are not rolling back, although they might have pushed the Pause button in some areas. They could do much more. But they won't because Sunak fears that even with his large majority, he wouldn't be able to get enough support from Tory MPs to reverse the damage and safeguard women's rights.

The link says in very clear text.
Theresa May plans to let people change gender identity without medical checks.

Important word there was plans

It didnt happen because there was a pushback.

I will tell you I've been bleating about this since before 2004 when labour were in and passed the gra 2004. I saw what was happening then.

You can try to rewrite history all day long, but it will not work.

Proof that the LP views the Twitter and lie worlds as being of more value to them than anything real. How patronising to palm ‘not the real world’ on to voters and feel so sure it will work.

No wonder they want to appeal to the Tra lie worlds too by tossing GRCs at them.

Well it is going to bite Labour on the ass and well deservedly so. Something terrible happened in Rochdale over the weekend and was captured on video. It was shared on twitter:
https://twitter.com/WasiqUK/status/1645525908793557021?s=20

The sharing and tagging of Uber and the police was done by the usual deplorable RW types and the Labour cohort who champion themselves as defenders of women and children are utterly silent. Politics is not simply manifestoes and speeches, nor campaign ads. People in the north have eyes and ears, they have local knowledge and neighbourhood gossip. They'd see a video like the one captured and immediately have a perception of an issue that the Islington Labour acolyte will never have or deny having.

Whose world view does that video confirm? Sunak's or Starmer's?

mirax · 12/04/2023 11:26

That video is spreading through whatsapp faster than any Labour ad. The police have responded by saying a man has been charged and the incident involved an adult female. Hmmn.

Flowerly · 12/04/2023 11:31

So he was assaulting/raping her? Perhaps by 'adult' in this context they mean over 16?

Whaeanui · 12/04/2023 11:36

Oh I feel truly sick. Why did he let him drive off with her!?!?

ScrollingLeaves · 12/04/2023 11:50

I think it is a bit unfair to say why let him drive off with her. He caught him after the act of raping. Should he have tried to fight the taxi driver? What if he wasn’t up to it?

He should have tried to get the girl out but perhaps thought he couldn’t or that he’d be complicit.

He did a brave thing by shouting at the taxi driver and getting the video. By getting the video and the number plate and giving it to the police there is more concrete evidence against him than from a fight followed by him getting away anyway

He may not have done the perfect thing but he at least did something. How do we know what we would have done?
