This isn't new, he's said the 99.9% thing before. He clearly thinks it's a really clever way to answer the question, and that we're too stupid to notice that he's still saying that transwomen are women. What a fucker.

It was only yesterday Labour put out a tweet saying that they are going to update the GRA (which can only mean self ID).

He's always coming out with the "for 99% of women" line. But isn't that just another way of saying that for the other "women" it's a matter of identity and they do have a penis. He's just being evasive and hoping that we won't notice.

So those 48,000 women with a penis? They just get lumped in with us and we just get to shove over, beeeeee kind.

My main issue is once we have lost our single sex spaces, it'll be one hell of a battle to get them back. We think its difficult now trying to make people see the issues, I'm not sure I'm up for the fight to claim them back when laws have been changed and even more people are against us.

So this 0.1% - which, from the article, appears to be transwomen - are women? And yet, when a vanishingly small number of transwomen have surgery to remove their penises, apparently women don’t have penises. Sorry Keir, that doesn’t add up and it sounds like one big fudge to me.

Either you think woman = adult human biological female or you don’t, you can’t have it both ways. And no matter what right noises Starmer may or may not make, there’s plenty in his party who are still firmly aboard the TRA bandwagon.

This is the response Starmer is hoping for from the “Stevenage women” who, we are told, are not engaged with politics in general and who haven’t noticed what a weasel he is.

It's a start.

But it's not enough.

The problem is that the LP are on record committing to self id and some pretty misogynistic quotes from leading members within the PLP.

The continued treatment of Rosie is a massive red flag, including his unwillingness to be seen with her today in Kent.

He needs to learn quickly that there isn't a middle ground here. Trying to find one means alienating everyone.

Ultimately a decision needs to be made. If he wants to be asked to form the next govt he needs to read the room and realise he's going to have to piss some people off.
