Shocking scenes in Auckland, TRA pours liquid on KJK

I'm not even sure what to say about this, I just find it really shocking.

Baying mobs surrounded the intended event, one got onto the podium and poured red liquid all over KJK and KJK had to be removed amidst a huge crush.

I hope everyone is OK.

I don't think we're getting the science. Although maybe they slipped it in and it accidentally got deleted with all the hate speech and personal attacks?

I mean it's not like we were expecting actual rocket science, just some facts and figures!

The hand is Georgina Beyer, a transwoman and former MP who passed away recently. Georgina was actually a good politician and when they last spoke about this particular clash of rights said women should be heard. I really don’t think they’re representing Georgina’s actual views on this.

Presumably the hand is supposed to be the hand of a late MP, a Māori transitioned male named Georgina Beyer?

Where did you hear or read this? I may be wildly off target but it just sounds like a pathetic excuse made up by an artist getting backlash for their awful cartoon showing a male hand going in to crush a woman depicted in a dehumanising fashion the size of an ant (vermin).

Not all gender transitioned people are TRAs with anti woman views.

Not fair to use a dead person’s good reputation to make a political point of
your own. The cartoonist should’ve left Beyer’s name off of it.

I hope many arrests will follow. Otherwise it will only get worse. That kind of violence needs to be met with swift action from the police and actual punishment from the courts. None of this letting attackers off because a biased judge agrees with their politics. You do the crime, you should serve the time.

There’s a saying in NZ, ‘ everyone gets a free hit ( of women)’ because that’s what the law is like, ( see Sevu Reece, Shannon Frizell )
