Shocking scenes in Auckland, TRA pours liquid on KJK

JacquelinePot · 25/03/2023 09:59

I'm not even sure what to say about this, I just find it really shocking.

Baying mobs surrounded the intended event, one got onto the podium and poured red liquid all over KJK and KJK had to be removed amidst a huge crush.

I hope everyone is OK.

Words can barely express how sickened and angry I am right now. And yes, WE knew that TRAs would keep escalating. Those in power should be very, very ashamed.

Signalbox · 29/03/2023 17:38

I think they should do a crowd fund to collect money for a reward for the person who can identify this violent man. It’s so shocking they haven’t arrested him yet. I wonder if they are even bothering to look.

IcakethereforeIam · 29/03/2023 17:41

Tbh if he washed and cut his hair, shaved and ate a sandwich he'd probably be unrecognisable.

However, someone should have named him by now. You do wonder if he's being sheltered.

Whaeanui · 29/03/2023 18:40

oh that gave me a laugh! Amongst my anger. They have not arrested anyone. But as I say, you won’t even get convictions if they have no priors, everyone gets to hit a woman at least once, sometimes more, in nz. An all black beat his 5 months pregnant wife, permanent name suppression, no conviction and no missed games!

Tillytrotter67 · 29/03/2023 18:42

His photo has been shared all over Twitter. It's either a matter of time or he's also sodded off somewhere else like Souper Man!

That’s so awful. Let’s hope this horror is the catalyst for change.

Whaeanui · 29/03/2023 21:39

I don’t know who that is but he’s right and every voice saying so matters.

I wish I could be bothered to find and tag posters who claimed Brian Tamaki was there with or at Let Women Speak, he wasn’t, he had his request to join turned down Posie turned down Brian Tamaki request to join forces

Quick, someone tell Billy Bragg and Owen Jones!

It is harrowing. That poor woman.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/03/2023 09:29

If the police had been there in reasonable numbers they could have arrested him at the scene, or maybe it wouldn't have actually happened in the first place.

IcakethereforeIam · 30/03/2023 09:37

I've just listened to that, it was humbling, an amazing woman.

Boiledbeetle · 30/03/2023 09:40

So that was rather harrowing. The police have a lot of explaining to do.

Who on the Friday made the decision to let the women be offered up as lambs to the slaughter? That person should be arrested for aidinh and abetting the thugs to assault women.

I'm once again not surprised, but I am so disgusted.

Senator Alex Antic, the Liberal Senator for South Australia stands up for women:

Good to see that!

What sort of response did he get?

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 30/03/2023 16:47

I expect twitter staff would be able to confirm that, should law enforcement request the info.

Before this thread ends. Just saw on twitter, other NZers commented on these threads making accusations about neo Nazis, saying they didn’t denounce them enough, blah blah blah On 20th March one of the organisers from Mana Wahine Korero, Di Landy, went on nz radio and read out a prepared statement completely disassociating them and the event from Nazis or any other group that turned up in Australia or would in nz. How much more do people fucking want? This was aired in NZ before the event. MSM ignored it and printed the lie Posie and organisers were far right or connected to them, in Newshub case they said Posie made white supremacist gestures, later removed after damage was done. So none of these kiwis making baseless accusations has listened to a Maori woman who organised this, who completely denounced Nazis in Melbourne and elsewhere before Auckland’s event. You invented or followed a narrative without checking it was true, that harmed kiwi women, injured them, and you should take a long hard look at yourselves.

Stop calling people Nazis or Nazi sympathisers just because you hear someone else do it. It’s dangerous, usually untrue and in this case clearly was, and can put peoples lives in danger.

Yes what a thread! Thank you to all of you who have stuck around and supported women and their right to speak in New Zealand. Kia Kaha!

BezMills · 30/03/2023 21:12

My thanks go to you @Whaeanui and the brave Maori and Pakeha women living in NZ.
