At the Liberal Democrat Conference just now.

A fairly ordinary motion to tidy up quotas on party committees - basically, as it stood women were disadvantaged as a committee could be constituted entirely of men and non-binary men.

Wasn't even allowed to be discussed. The zealots pushed a 'move to next business' vote to silence women.

Raging misogyny. It's really, really not a good look guys.

I used to rate the Libdems. What happened to them?

Libdems have an outside chance in my local constituency next election against the tories but there is not a chance in hell I’d vote for them ever not even tactically. Not sure I can vote for anyone else either so I’ll be spoiling my vote again.

The Lib Dems are a strange bunch - none of the passion of Lefties and Socialists, and without the prgamatism and solid values of Conservatives. Very arid and detached; the natural home for those that don't fit in anywhere else. I expect Caroline Nokes to join them before long. She's an odd one, too.

I was a member for a good long while - did bits and pieces for the party, leafletting etc. I would never vote for them now.

Earlier on, the President Mark Pack impressed on Conference the need for respect and especially how those in positions of authority had to hold themselves to higher standards.

They are the epitome of ‘so open-minded their brains have fallen out’.

At council level we are really lucky to have a strong "residents" party, they now outnumber the main parties in total candidates. Hooray. Unfortunately, at national level it is between the Libs Dems and Cons.

They’re not wanted, they’re not welcome, they’re on the side of evil and against everything remotely decent. The only thing I’d disagree with here is the use of “gender critical”. That’s these monsters’ euphemistic term for themselves, and using it shows them a respect they don’t deserve, in much the same way as using “human biodiversity advocate” rather than “white supremacist” does. They are not critical of gender — they want to impose rigid and unchangeable gender roles on everyone, and don’t care who that imposition hurts or kills.
