They can't mention detransitioners because it questions the legitimacy of every other trans related policy.

If its based on a medical diagnosis, and detransitioners exist, we have to start asking serious questions about the reliability and ethics of diagnosis, treatment and long term implementations of having a gra.

If its not based on a medical diagnosis, just based on a patients want at that time, how do lawmakers know the motivation behind transition, and the impact on others.
