Sorry for the daily fail link .... pretty strong stance from this swimwear brand.

OP posts:
unclebuck · 09/03/2023 08:40

That's a shame I have loads of there swimsuits as they are very well made, last years and don't ride up your bumcrack. Made for a woman's body in fact. To be clear, I would not give a shit if they had a gender non conforming man modelling - not at all - but this is insulting to women and just grim.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/03/2023 08:43

Putting the folly into their brand, all right.

Why is that piece branding women making objections 'trolls'?Hmm

AndrexPuppy · 09/03/2023 08:44

I really rate Seafolly swimwear. Oh well. Another one bites the dust

TheMatriarchy · 09/03/2023 08:48

We are the trolls??! No mate you are the troll. I have bought seafolly swimwear in the past. Never again.

FrancescaContini · 09/03/2023 08:48

No. Never.

He’s clearly loving it - wonder why 🤦‍♀️

ResisterRex · 09/03/2023 08:49

Not Seafolly! 😫

FrancescaContini · 09/03/2023 08:50

Really putting the “folly” into Seafolly

HagoftheNorth · 09/03/2023 08:54

Well Seafolly, you might sell swimwear to men identifying as trans or non-binary, but it looks like you might lose quite a lot of women. Wonder if that will work out for you?
Deni, and any other male can dress however the they like, crack on, make the world a more vibrant place, but they’re not women.

Igmum · 09/03/2023 09:00

So they decided to shift from the most glamorous women in the world to that guy? Standing like that? FFS 🤦‍♀️

FrancescaContini · 09/03/2023 09:04

Yeah, wonder why he’s standing like that, crotch thrust forward 🤷‍♀️

MrsOvertonsWindow · 09/03/2023 09:05

Those bikini bottoms would be very baggy in the front on a woman 😂
Not a good look.

Madamecastafiore · 09/03/2023 09:11

Oh dear another name to add to the list.

When will they learn pandering to the minority won't help their business model.

Rightsraptor · 09/03/2023 09:12

He could hardly have adopted a more male pose. But the shoes ...

I don't understand the entire premise, tbh. Body shape and size is largely sex-dependent. Things like underwear and swimwear, especially for females, tend to hug the body. So if you make bikini bottoms for women there won't be much room for cock & balls. Unless you want them on full display ... oh, right. Maybe that's it? If there's room for male bits, they'll be baggy on women.

Anyway - insane.

Every day more insults to women.

DysonSpheres · 09/03/2023 09:13

Remember to 'always be kind' now. Some of the comments above verge on being a little bitsy bit mean.

ChateauMargaux · 09/03/2023 09:16

Hmmm. How will swimwear companies design garments to fit their customers and describe them so buyers can choose the right ones?

7Worfs · 09/03/2023 09:19

Grotesque. 🤮

RudsyFarmer · 09/03/2023 09:24

The condescension in that video is palpable isn’t it? ‘Go educate yourself….’ has become the height of passive aggression.

Brokendaughter · 09/03/2023 09:26

When I see a beardy bloke in a brand of womens clothing, it instantly loses all appeal.

Luckily I have enough swimsuits to last me the rest of my life, so I never need to buy one again.
If I do, it will be from a brand who use biologically female models only.

I don't care if they are plus size, regular size or slim.
I don't care if they are young or old.
I don't care if they are pretty or ugly.

I really really do care that they are biological women.

This desperate drive to shove bulging pants in womens faces & pretend it's fashion or desirable is saving me a fortune.

I'll never buy Seafolly ever again.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 09/03/2023 09:29

Why do you feel obliged to mis name your source.? If they are the only publication covering these issues ( as if so often the case) why do you want to sneer at them?

Daily Fail….don’t you see what you are doing there? Casting doubt on the publication which is on your side…..(our side, actually).

Helleofabore · 09/03/2023 09:30

Cripes! Not Seafolly!

I agree, if they did this just as a non-conforming man it would be perhaps acceptable to many women. However, the brand has not done this.

BlackeyedSusan · 09/03/2023 09:31

Nope. They don't look like they care about women. They have a model who is actively working against the safety of my disabled children. They can fuck right off.

Helleofabore · 09/03/2023 09:36

I must admit though, I was always more of a speedos girl when I was buying togs as a teen.

Seafolly were not a brand I could afford, of course, they were in all magazines.

DysonSpheres · 09/03/2023 09:37

The message I'm getting from all this is that 'women aren't enough'

Because the question arises as to why so many brands are willing to lose customers on this hill. What trending forecasts are they seeing that means they're ready and willing to throw away loyal customers and put off many women from engaging with them?

Clearly to risk losing money they see it as a worthwhile gamble. They clearly see this as the future.

Helleofabore · 09/03/2023 09:42

Besides, I would never hire this person as a model again. They mention a major competitor in connection to a discussion about the togs being advertised.

'I'm wearing bikini bottoms which are basically Speedos, which, last time I checked, people with penises wear Speedos.

'So maybe you just need to investigate and dig a little deeper as to why me, in a Speedo essentially, feels like an attack on your gender identity, because that's not what I'm trying to do.'

Hardly a good choice for someone to represent the Seafolly brand.

littlbrowndog · 09/03/2023 09:48

Jeez the heels and the bulging crotch in every shot 🙈
