The person arrested is well known in the area for being rude and, well, odd. Propped up the bar in a local hostelry dressed in women's clothes. Used to serve in the shop in women's clothes and full make up.

I'm not sure if there are more cases here than other countries in the UK but it certainly is a bit of a joke how they are dealt with by the justice system.

I live a mile or 2 away from the creature who kidnapped this girl and also when I open my little girls bedroom curtains, I look straight at the house of someone who was recently convicted of the possession of thousands and thousands of images and videos of Level 1 child pornography. And he admitted guilt but was allowed out on bail. And while on bail was allowed to have a camera pointing out of his upstairs windows filming everyone including children!

I can see the TRAs trying to claim there's some sort of witch hunt (the irony), but that won't wash as the disappearance has been high profile and in the last few days.

@mrshoho I know right?? He only got 12 months in prison and will no doubt be out in 6. But he can forget about coming back to live here. Even if his parents, or at least his mother, have moved into his house to protect it and keep it nice for him coming home. He isn't welcome in this community and he'll soon find out about it.

I'm so glad the little girl is OK. Under the circumstances all I can say is that I hope her ordeal was as uneventful as possible.

My understanding, from following previous cases, is that this does not always mean the victim hasn't been abused or assaulted.

This is so grim. Have I got this right - a transgender butcher who publicly backed Nicola Sturgeon's self-ID law has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of the 11-year-old girl.
