My bets are on a brief pause, followed by the claim that legal advice is that the men can’t have their feelz hurt / it’s discriminatory in some way.

Or they’ll do the same as they did for the GRR...

Claim they’ve done the most widespread and thorough consultation in the world EVAH (innit), without ever taking evidence from women, prison reform groups or anyone else who’d tell them it’s a fucking awful idea.

I'd really like to hear from all the prison governors who disagree with her. I wonder if they can find any willing to speak up? Otherwise one might think they were figments of someone's imagination. Turd.

Unfortunately I’m sure there’ll be at least one Governor out there who’s solidly on-side with the Nats and who’ll go on record to say there’s no problem. He’ll be a man.

Recent reporting would suggest that prison staff bend over backwards to appease the most violent offenders, some of whom are currently trying to get a transfer to the female estate.

The blood-spitting, shirtless, specimen in court last week had already applied to be transferred a few years ago. RH’s statement on R4 this morning said she’d tried to block it then. Fortunately he did something to break the rules (again) and the transfer was dropped.
