Just came on to say hope the day goes well. I am sure it will. Sounds like there is already a good turn out.

Looking forward to hearing you all as the mike is passed round. (I'm assuming there will be a live video - haven't even checked)

Is there a FWR symbol or badge or ribbon we can look out for so we can try and guess who you are. Or will you all be holding teacakes?!

The Air Support Unit will assist @GreaterGlasgPol on Sunday 5 February at George Sq, Glasgow during the Standing for Women event.

A police drone will be deployed to provide the police commander with an overview and help keep those attending event safe.

I'm sure a lot of LGBT people and allies are annoyed at all the transphobic hate, threats and violence. But being annoyed doesn't give you a get-out-of-jail-free card to do what you want.

It's also helpful for KJK to clarify the event isn't a "woman v man" thing at all, it's more of a "gender critical v women who aren't gender critical".

Is the video I've just put above the one in which she she had issued this threat? I will admit i was cleaning up cat vomit whilst watching so i may have missed a bit, and don't fancy trawling through lots of videos trying to find out where this latest threat of your came from.

I think very dishonest people are making heavy weather of the use of the word "annihilate" by KJK. She means to annihilate bad thinking not kill people, FFS.

There is also a permanent webcam of George Sq but I don't think that is intended for watching live! www.glasgow.gov.uk/forms/webcam/Webcam.aspx

The bluehair event starts at 11am. SFW is supposed to be at 12 but I think a lot of our people will be there well before that, George Sq is right by Queen St station so people will be arriving on trains.

She’s deadly serious and literally wants to kill people, but if TRA hold up signs saying ‘decapitate TERFS’ or post that thru want to drive a car into a womens event and watch women bounce off the windscreen, they’re just joking and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Are you really not seeing the cognitive dissonance here @MargaritaPie ?

I think we all know that marg is the very textbook entry on dissonance. I am not sure ever ever to be anything else. I personally cannot believe how they could keep it up for years, so it must be their natural position.

Well, annihilate does also mean “convert to radiant energy” - so KJK is simply seeking to bring glorious sunlight to shine on the delusions of GI theorists…

And before anyone decries the use of a physics definition - remember that the scientific definition of “cis” has been appropriated into GI (as has something about clownfish)?!?
