Yes. It would be great to get a good turn out by women. The more the merrier. The thing about these SFW events is that they're all about the women who attend and the women who speak (at least that's what I've been able to deduce from watching the videos).
You might hear women speak who's views don't totally align with yours - in which case don't applaud those views. I personally am Pro-Choice, an atheist and am supportive of kids being taught about sexuality, different types of families etc ... I just disagree with all the Gingerbread/GI Joe/Barbie stereotype shite.
Occasionally someone will hijack it with a personal axe to grind but then it will move on to someone else.
I think the women of Scotland will have something to say. I hope it will be an opportunity to let Nicola Sturgeon know how many of us are feeling. An opportunity to express solidarity with other women, anger at what's been happening in prisons and hospitals etc.
If you've never been to anything like this before, please consider coming along.
And I'm not affiliated to SFW. It's irrelevant what I personally think about PP but it's great she's making this happen and I'm very grateful to her for that.
I attended the pro- GRA Rally in Glasgow and am hoping I feel as safe at the SFW event as I did at that. Because that's how democracy is supposed to work.
