Gave me a laugh over my coffee anyway 😆 does he remind anyone else of arguments with their little brother? ‘You’re going to lose. Why are you hitting yourself’ etc 😂

Interesting he has never ever once engaged with any of the thousands of points as to why gender ideology is indefensible at best and harmful at worst, it’s always just ‘You’re going to lose… tiny minority… section 28’

But what do gay men get out of it?

A chance to role play something that sort of looks like the fight for gay rights that they were too young to have had a chance to take part in.

Of course!

SmugglersHaunt · 20/01/2023 13:26

Well, patronising misogynists gonna patronise

JimDixon · 20/01/2023 14:13

I’ve always known OJ hated women. Ever since he killed his wife!

ResisterRex · 20/01/2023 14:30

It won't happen but the poll is fun anyway:

He's getting a pasting on twitter. Thought the witches on this thread would appreciate this one in his comments 😆

voted. 'Tis the right thing to do, I want to see this debate. C'mon Owen, the gauntlet has been flung right into whatever part of London you hang out in.

I also love this meme WallaceinAnderland.

No, he's an odious little coward, with an overinflated sense of his own worth. He knows she'd wipe the floor with him.

Datun · 20/01/2023 14:55

I'm only halfway through KJK's response, but by God the contrast is stark.

He must've written out his entire speech, but couldn't even be bothered to learn it off by heart, because he kept having to check his notes. I can't believe he's a journalist, either, mic drop it wasn't. You've got to keep the spite out of your voice, mate.

By contrast, it's obvious to anyone, including OJ, that Kellie is not only utterly genuine, which means she is able to talk largely off the cuff, but that she has completely irrefutable points.

Trans ideology 'winning' will be the complete erasure of women's privacy and safety. How else can it win???

There is no denying men's behaviour towards women. And boys towards girls. And the come back to this is only ever one thing, and that's, yes but it's not happening much. A giant slice of misogyny which obviously speaks for itself.

i'm not on Instagram, so do I take it he's already backtracking and claiming that it's only ever about allowing men to believe they are women?

Because, as long as they stay out of women's spaces, services, and vocabulary, there are going to be numerous women who couldn't give a flying fuck what deluded men think about themselves.

And yes, it's my opinion that Owen Jones will be far too cowardly to take on Kellie Jay Keen.

ResisterRex · 20/01/2023 15:00

He knows she'd wipe the floor with him.

Having now watched the whole video, I'd be advising Starmer exactly the same. I hope she does stand against him. She will make mincemeat of him. In fact, she'd do that with any politician because (with a tiny number of notable exceptions) they're all, all about managing their profile, likes, retweets, being careful, being MoR, being indistinguishable from the next cut-round-the-dots, former bag-carrying, ex-SPAD straight outta Oxbridge muppet with no clue about a real job or real life.

None of them have personality or views. No one is ever sacked for incompetence. She will spice things up - for the wider good.

I can't wait.

Datun · 20/01/2023 15:09

And yes, women objecting to women having to put up with masturbating men in the bed next to them, or girls flooding and having to put up with boys taking the piss, women in prison having to put up with rapists in their cells, lesbians been told to accept penis, and the destruction of women's sport actually being framed as 'anti-trans' is one of the biggest own goals I think I've ever seen.

It means being 'pro trans' is endorsing all of it.

they really are beyond all reason.

nilsmousehammer · 20/01/2023 15:13

it's only ever about allowing men to believe they are women

Wow, that's where he's moved the line to?

Ok. Why is that the responsibility of women to indulge and enable?

To what lengths?

And why are you producing rants longer and more tedious than a tax return, spitting odd religious bile like an 18th century priest at fallen women, because women have been driven to the discourtesy of saying 'my not interrupting your belief that you are a woman is not more important than my access to society or not being raped'.

If you don't want to be asked to get your size thirteen beetle crushers off my foot then don't bloody stand on it .

Datun · 20/01/2023 15:19

...only a misogynist could come to the conclusion, that when we say we don't want men in our intimate spaces it's somehow something other than the protection of women's spaces.

It really is breathtaking. The fucking ego it must take to conclude this is not about the protection of women.

'Objecting to the destruction of women sports? That's not about women sports, love! Must be something else.

Outraged that incarcerated women are being housed with convicted rapists? That can't be about the women love, it must be something else.

Worried your daughter's non compliance with stereotypes may send her down a path where she ends up mutilated and sterile? That can't be because of her and your love for her? It must be something else.

It must be something else.

These awful, blind, entitled arrogant men.

Boiledbeetle · 20/01/2023 15:21

The KJK (every time i type her initials my tablet autocorrects to MUM, so cute!) Video is a really good watch.

It did look like she was looking at something but more likely a bullet point list rather than a word by word monologue like Owen.

It's just the way she goes through scenario after scenario after scenario. And each ones ends the same.

I love her.

It's the whole terra nullis thing isn't it? The hallmark of such misogyny it's totally unconsciously pervasive.

Anything not being useful to men is a waste of space and resources that should be better allocated.

Anything a woman ever does is naturally all about a man (and if it's something a man doesn't like, it's probably a malicious attempt to annoy or defy him.)

It essentially admits the seeing of females as subhuman things that don't have inner lives of their own, or any existence or reality that doesn't revolve entirely around the real humans. And the ones who won't accept this sex based role are bad women who should be punished.

And he's an authoritarian follower personality to the core. Looooooves him some rules. Loves being righteous and getting to harrangue the sinners and hope for their punishment. Allllll about the winning and the losing jingoism, the snobbery, the worthy and the scum. All the values he identifies as spitting on, while demonstrating how committed to them he is. It's quite sad really how unconscious it all is.

Datun · 20/01/2023 15:32

It's quite sad really how unconscious it all is.

In my less furious moments, I sometimes wonder if they are living some kind of half life.

I know I'm quoting myself!

I realise that men will often gain from the sexism, but even so, it's very weird sometimes when you know they can't see what's in front of their nose.

I was in a furniture shop and the woman was helping me, and a man just interrupted us and asked her to help him. He simply didn't see me - and only saw her in terms of how she could help him.

Men cannot rid themselves of this subconscious mindset that we are there to serve, affirm and validate them at all costs.

Tradesmen ask me to make them tea/coffee and sometimes even food. I’ve never seen them ask DH for so much as a glass of water.

At work it’s always the women offering to do tea and coffee rounds. Fuck that shit, I don’t offer any more.

When my sexist in laws come for dinner they’re always ‘surprised’ when it is DH cooking, and see it as proof that I’ve castrated him and am lazy. ‘Mr Soup is cooking is he? Well, that’s a surprise! Why is he doing that?’ Etc

On the postnatal ward, after giving birth I wanted a bath. With some effort due to being cut ear to ear I got myself down the corridor to the communal bathroom (1 bath, no showers) to find one of the dads had decided to take a leisurely soak in it and I would have to come back later 😳

Surrogacy and expecting women to allow themselves to be put at extra risk to affirm and validate biological men is absolutely no different. OJ might not be asking his female colleagues to bring him refreshments but it all comes from exactly the same place. He’s no better than your average postnatal ward bath hogger…

I agree with all your post soup but this

Is just staggering. He sees a bath, he needs a bath, so it must be there for him!

They really should be dramatic consequences.

In the furniture shop, the same man had already asked me to help him, despite the fact that I had a winter coat on, my bag over my shoulder, and obviously didn't work there.

But it is a shop run by women. Therefore...

Cuppasoupmonster · 20/01/2023 16:28

Therefore you’re both at his disposal like seems kind furniture fairy godmothers 🙄 honestly I’m due to give birth again in 8 weeks and I swear if the same thing happens to me I will stand hammering on the door until he leaves.

The ‘oh but women make up their own minds about whether to be a surrogate’ reminds me of men who say the same about sex workers. They have the level of autonomy to decide to do all that apparently but not to decide they want their own spaces, they must be instructed by the menz on that matter.

Part of me thinks it’s because none of them have a clue what bearing children does to a woman’s body - they think it’s 9 months with possibly a slightly achey back, out pops the baby and then a couple of months later you’re more or less back to normal. They don’t realise (or choose not to realise) that it is such an enormous event for a woman physically and emotionally that there’s nothing to compare it to.

I’m in my early 30s, second pregnancy and it’s been horrific - although not ‘on paper’ because technically baby and I are both okay at the moment. But I had hypermesis until 24 weeks which made me lose so much weight that at 29 weeks pregnant I now only weigh 4lb more than before I got pregnant. I have PGP and back pain, struggling to even put my own shoes on. I haven’t had more than 4 hours unbroken sleep for months because of pregnancy insomnia and needing the toilet constantly. Not to mention all the tests, various meds I’m on to keep us both healthy etc.

The idea that anyone would do this for 9 months and then go through the much bigger event that is birth and fourth trimester ‘out of the goodness of their heart’ is laughable. Either money changes hands or some poor woman has been emotionally put upon by the men in her life to ‘provide’ for them. Remember all those nauseating posts by Brian Dowling about how happy his sister was to give him and his boyfriend a baby ‘because she’s single and might not get to experience it otherwise’? Like she was some kind of spinster who should be happy to go through all that with none of the perks at the end. And the heartbreaking post about how the baby ‘always settles when she sees her aunty Aofie’. Well duh that’s because she is the baby’s mum 😡

anyway I’m ranting…

Let's be clear: they don't know because they choose not to know. They really don't give a fuck either way what the experience is like for the woman.
