She’ll probably be fully supported by the Children’s Commissioner up here, Bruce Adamson. In the first GRR consultation he was pushing for the age to be lowered to 12 without any need for parental consent. The staff member involved in drafting the response told him their office needed to be “brave”.

That's an interesting question. I normally argue that a woman's reproductive status (or choices) is irrelevant to her job, but as a mum to a 5 year old I feel I perhaps have more of a window into the world of a 5 year old than some.

What expertise exactly is her opinion based on? because without qualification, it's of no more significance than a belly rumble - unless of course the lunatics truly have taken over.

Regardless on everyone’s views of gender. Liberty and freedom, where is it? You should have the freedom to raise your own child without state intervention, provided there is no neglect or abuse. Why should a teacher have more rights over a child’s name/presentation than a parent?

My child is 4 and tells me everyday that he’s ‘cat boy’ from this tv show, and not his name. I have to actually calm him ‘cat boy’ to get him to respond. I humour him by using the name. That doesn’t mean I’m going to raise him as if he’s a superhero called ‘cat boy’. By their logic, I should be.
