Never happy are they. I had thought it was “offensive” to tell a trans person to use disabled toilets as it invalidated their sense of identity and equated being trans with being disabled. They could do with making their mind up

I used the mens loo in the pub tonight because the women's loo was flooded. It was smelly and dirty because men are disgusting dirty creatures but I didn't feel 'hurt' or 'uncomfortable'. Needs must.
If you're non-binary then you don't identify as either gender, so surely you can use either toilet??

I feel awkward going into the women's toilets as I don't look like a woman.
Without a photo obviously we can't be entirely sure. Given the following sentence though, I've a feeling that it's more obvious than she lets on:

My chest is feeling uncomfortable at the moment. Or is it my throat? Whatever it is I'm coughing. Oh, she meant "breasts"? I've never encountered a non-binary who favoured low-cut tops - usually seems to be baggy jumpers - so I doubt that there will be many staring down her cleavage.

The third space is just a toilet for either sex. That either sex can use and accepts that either sex might be in there when they are. But that space needs to be cubicles with sinks in, to ensure it's safe for both sexes.

Which is something I've seen a lot of people mention on this site.

But you can guarantee that the third space won't be such as you describe, provided in addition to the existing facilities. The women's toilets (cubicles with gaps and all) will simply be relabelled (not the men's, because urinals) or the accessible toilet will be designated for everyone who doesn't fit rigidly into the categories of Barbie and GI Joe, thus disadvantaging those who actually need the facilities.

I don't understand why not just use the appropriate toilet for their sex? Gender is irrelevant here. They shouldn't be using disabled people's toilets when they aren't disabled. It's all just drams for drama's sake.

I need disabled toilets; I need the rails that drop down and come in off the walsl to get on and off the toilet safely. And the long emergency cord in case i have a fall. It's not nice having to navigate a dirty floor either. I'm sure you get the picture.

So now disabled people's right are included with women's rights on the list of things trampled all over to hell, so that a teeny tiny percentage of the population doesn't get upset?

When the hell is bowing down to ideologies going to stop?

Depending on the actual law regarding the provision of disabled/accessible toilets, I would support action against those establishments who co-opt facilities for the disabled to appease the T+ crowd. They can fuck off.

Toilet facilities are segregated by sex, not gender, so why couldn't charlie simply use the same toilets as before their claim to be 'non binary'

The staff at this bar should be trained to be aware that not all disabilities are visible and to hand over the radar key to anyone that asks, rather than to interrogate them or ask them to prove their disability.

On the flip side, people without a disability/need should not be asking to use the accessible toilet.

No, they shouldn't. But I guess disabled people will have to get out of their way like everybody else has to.

My mum is having cancer treatment and is (hopefully) temporarily in a wheelchair. During a recent visit to the hospital she had an urgent need for the toilet, only to find the disabled toilet was occupied by a mum with 2 kids who just found it ‘easier’ than going into the completely empty ladies toilets next door. It was a very near miss for an accident on what was already a stressful day. I told the mother she needed to be more considerate - especially in a hospital FFS!

Imagine if people like Mum have to compete for disabled loos with every trans and non binary person around. This is the biggest complaint I have - an entire generation being raised to believe their gender makes them more special, entitled and vulnerable than anyone else in society.

I once had a man grab his two kids and hoof it along to get past me to the disabled loo. He knew I was going to the disabled loo because I was in my wheelchair & the loos were the only things in the direction I was going in. But it was not only more convenient for him, he didn’t want to wait.

This whole business of using the disabled loo is infuriating. Yes, you might sometimes have to wait because someone else with a disability is using it. Shouldn’t be having to wait for any other fecker though - & if it’s a Changing Places one it’s an extra-special sort of shitty selfish behaviour. Honestly, the entitlement levels are just off the scale.

I have MS. I don't use disabled toilets unless I absolutely have to - bladder and mobility issues from time to time. I want to protect the space for people who are more disabled than me because I can normally use the non- disabled loos without a problem.
