How Long Before We Look Back In Amazement

..................over the fact that we had to go through all the transwankery. That we had to fight and fight over such an issue. That some men were allowed to do this to us. That even a lot of women could not see the harm this was causing women and girls.

I mean, surely there will come a time when we can look back and say "I remember that - it was awful - thank goodness people saw through it eventually." How long will it be?

A neighbouring health board has said that any female complaining be treated like a rapist and removed.

could you link to the statement and identify the health board you’re referring to

Understandably, posters might not want to do that in case they're capable of being identified. Baroness Nicholson - whose speeches in the second chamber are easy to find on the Hansard section of the Parliament site - has covered this.

Here, she outlines what whistleblowers have told her:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10932167/Grown-men-pretending-dont-know-woman-wife-children-absurd.html

"Emma's whistleblowers have told her that staff are instructed to deny that males are present on wards — if the male in question identifies as female."

And here is an example of a policy that demeans women:

https://www.rdash.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Staff-Trans-Equality-Policy-v1.pdf

"Role and Responsibility of Individual Employees and Co-workers
...All staff members regardless of grade or profession must:
• Adhere to and abide by this policy.
• Ensure its implementation and uphold the procedures referred to within.
• Ensure that new staff are appropriately briefed at induction on compliance with this policy.
• Challenge/report discriminatory practice or language."

The policy that staff are instructed to follow, does not appear to be lawful eg

"The Trust is committed to go beyond it [sic] legal duties to provide protection on the grounds of gender identity and gender expression."

They openly state they're not following the law. Gender identity and gender expression aren't in the law. Yet staff are compelled to implement it.

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/objections-to-trans-patients-on-womens-hospital-wards-like-racism-vz309qqtq

Hospital wards are meant to be single sex. NHS policy means that Trusts breaching this are sanctioned (used to be fined until COVID).

murrayblackburnmackenzie.org/2022/12/03/the-erosion-of-single-sex-hospital-accommodation-in-scotland/

sex-matters.org/posts/updates/nhs-hospitals-single-sex-accommodation-can-not-be-mixed-sex/

Because of institutional capture, a woman who was raped on a 'single sex' ward was told that she couldn't have been raped because there were no men present. She was gaslighted by the NHS and Police for a year until they finally admitted there had in fact been a male on the ward (despite their apparent single sex policy).

Abccde · 17/12/2022 11:57

Ps that should have been a racist and not rapist - bad typo!

But they are facilitating rapists being on female wards.

A quick search on here would identify the trust and it has been reported in the Times and other newspapers.

It is in Scotland, a place where women are the lowest of the low and only there for courageous trans woman like Woof to spit on.

How on earth would a poster be identified from stating a fact - the name of the health board with a policy to treat a woman like a “rapist” and remove her if she complains.

the board won’t be named. Because no board said this or inferred it

full of vague bull shit stories relating to unidentified statements from unidentified public bodies

This was in my last post -

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/objections-to-trans-patients-on-womens-hospital-wards-like-racism-vz309qqtq

So, The Times.

And NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

No. We gave you freely available evidence that's in the public domain.

Sorry I don’t get what you mean

i ask for the name of the health board with this policy

ResisterRex · 17/12/2022 12:15

If it's neighbouring, then it's next to the poster. This is how you triangulate information. The fact you don't know this, demonstrates how little you know about safeguarding vulnerable people.

ResisterRex · 17/12/2022 12:12

No. We gave you freely available evidence that's in the public domain.

Yes but the tiniest of probing reveals

”whoops not treat like a rapist I meant racist”

and in the context of this debate dealing with discrimination… that is quite a whoopsie.

As an aside I think the entire issue is utter nonsense and men are men and women are women. And no I wouldn’t fancy sharing my changing room with a man who’s decided he’d like to wear dresses and be a woman

but I see it as a teeny tiny realistic scenario or one that I would ever encounter regularly so I will focus my attention on other issues but not criticise you for not being engaged in the issues that concern me but I would hope for the same respect the other way

Waitwhat23 · 17/12/2022 12:16

3rd time.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

In the Times article linked previously.

Not sure how else to put it.

But neighbouring…. Could be multiple 🙄

thewayround · 17/12/2022 12:18

No.

Neighbouring to the health board her mother is in.

and neighbouring would be multiple depending which direction you go in!

thewayround · 17/12/2022 12:21

Yes but my point was… with the tiniest of probing

whoopsie I’ve made a mistake. Not rapist but racism

Do you appreciate the relevance when discussing discrimination

thewayround · 17/12/2022 12:22

Makes me wonder how many other whoopsies there are on these threads re quotes

NecessaryScene · 17/12/2022 12:23

Just a thought, but maybe you could actually read other people's posts, rather than just doing using this thread as a sort of stream-of-consciousness outlet?

But so much on here is vague hearsay…. There’s little point.

don’t worry, I will bow out and hide the thread and allow you all to continue making out that this issue is bigger than it actually is in reality

Abccde · 17/12/2022 12:48

I apologise for my typo. As soon as I spotted it I clarified.

I don't think it deserves the reaction from some.

I am sure many would have spotted it was a typo, especially if they look at this board.

But there has been another incident on a ward that did involve an alleged rape.

That however was not what I was referring too.

Don't worry @Abccde . You don't need to explain yourself to posters who don't appear to be coming to a thread good faith

ResisterRex · 17/12/2022 12:56

I agree. Very telling what was focused on and what was not.

OhHolyJesus · 17/12/2022 13:01

3-5 years, depending on how many legal cases are brought, and how quickly the equal treatment bench book can be brought back to truth and common sense.

NeighbourhoodWatchPotholeDivision · 17/12/2022 13:02

An example of the policy, as requested. Text of document for screenreader-using MNers in subsequent post.
