Yes - Reality Based Feminism- hallelujah Hadley. At last someone cutting through the crap.

LizzieSiddal · 05/12/2022 10:20

No woman journalist at The Guardian is allowed to write about Sex and gender?!?!?!

SapphosRock · 05/12/2022 10:20

This is explosive! Shock

LizzieSiddal · 05/12/2022 10:20

This interview is just dynamite.

DrBlackbird · 05/12/2022 10:21

Is Emma pushing back so much to deflect the BBC and WH from getting ripped into?

DrBlackbird · 05/12/2022 10:21

Or because she’s TWAW?

nauticant · 05/12/2022 10:21

HF: the Sports section at the Guardian has been good about this, about the science, particularly Sean Ingle.

Ramblingnamechanger · 05/12/2022 10:22

Hadley is brilliant. Emma a bit defensive I would say. It’s all out there, and the particular form of censorship at the Guardian and the BBC is well exposed. I would like to hear Emma defending her awful interview of MF and the dreadful Grace Lavery..

WinterTrees · 05/12/2022 10:23

HF is so admirable - she has such integrity and courage.

"I'm not trying to push [Kath Viner] out of a job Emma." EB has now softened her approach slightly and is not pushing her into a corner, which makes for a much more useful discussion.

nauticant · 05/12/2022 10:23

I think EB has her own strong views that she's careful to keep hidden in a desire to fit into the BBC's rules about impartiality.

SimonandGarfunkel · 05/12/2022 10:24

Am actually delighted that Emma let her talk. Just so much sense about how trans ideology is in reality rather than in theory. She talked about safeguarding kids, women's rights and gay rights.

All hail to Hadley.

Birdsweepsin · 05/12/2022 10:25

Its started! "Anti Trans BBC"!

AnneLovesGilbert · 05/12/2022 10:19

Did WH ever have Helen Joyce on?

No.

Long over due

nauticant · 05/12/2022 10:26

Done. That was terrific.

WishIWasACavewoman · 05/12/2022 10:26

Fantastic, will come back to thus sfter work, thanks very much for the updates, it sounds so hopeful

WinterTrees · 05/12/2022 10:27

'It's hard to go against the mantra of your political tribe.'

This is the eye of the shitstorm isn't it?

Birdsweepsin · 05/12/2022 10:28

That was superb. Well done Hadley

maltravers · 05/12/2022 10:29

Great work Hadley and well done in not being derailed into side arguments about Kath Viner.

DrBlackbird · 05/12/2022 10:29

Birdsweepsin · 05/12/2022 10:25

I’ve been meaning to write to thank the BBC for several pieces and will add this interview.

nauticant · 05/12/2022 10:30

An archetype of the trans activist response:

Floisme · 05/12/2022 10:33

Ouff, I must admit I hadn't expected Hadley to be quite so forthright. Well done to her. I've no problem with Emma's approach either - it's her job to push back.

I agree. Well done Hadley!

nauticant · 05/12/2022 10:35

It is interesting to read the responses to the WH tweet trailing the interview:

twitter.com/BBCWomansHour/status/1599697588214636544

and particularly how bonkers and reality-denying the busy trans activist comes across.

AnneLovesGilbert · 05/12/2022 10:35

I’ve just send positive feedback to the BBC.
