I just asked for the link and pin and I also included my name & address, but I'm not sure if that is necessary.

I believe as ever that veg still needs sowing.

Yes, if you're reading Rachel, all strength to you. The email said all parties had just been informed, which (to me) suggested it's a court issue rather than a potential out of court settlement. However I have no idea how they would word it if it was the latter ?discontinued or something.

Princessglittery · 30/11/2022 18:08

Just had an email it has been postponed due to lack of judicial resources.

WallaceinAnderland · 30/11/2022 18:30

To be re-listed in 2023

I've just been informed by the Clerk that the case will be relisted in 2023.

Yes, Rachel emailed to say:

"So sorry to announce that the hearing has been postponed. It was meant to start tomorrow, but unfortunately they did not have judicial resources available to hear it.

All parties were very keen for it to go ahead.

The hearing is to be re-booked and will likely be heard on a date between February 2022 - July 2022.

Will update you as soon as we have a new date."

Manderleyagain · 01/12/2022 13:49

Poor Rachel. How crap. One thing I've learnt from all the court cases is how slow and infuriating the cogs of justice are at turning. It sounds like courts are in a shambles. If it was listed for certain days how come there were no court resources and what dies that mean?

Anyway, keys hope it's nearer Feb than July.

I can't understand why they are not keen to settle out of court given that the case against her was dropped. Maybe they are kean but she is holding out ...

Best of luck and all the strength Rachel.

Princessglittery · 01/12/2022 15:17

In my case (witness) the no court resources meant there wasn’t a judge available.

Yes, it happens all the time. Serious shortage of judges. Means people have to wait months and months to have their cases heard. It’s awful.

Case management hearing on 11 April. Rachel's garden still needs a bit of tending if anyone can help.

Bumping. Gardening still needed on Rachel’s crowd funding page

FriendofJoanne · 06/04/2023 12:18

Crowd justice I mean

Thanks for the update. Still some gardening to do before the hearing, which is just over a month away.

Crikey, it's all getting busy on the legal front at the moment - Maya's compensation settlement, the Mermaids / LGB Alliance & Charity Commission decision coming on Thursday, and now Rachel's tribunal.

Fingers firmly crossed for the last two!

Ramblingnamechanger · 02/07/2023 00:03

Good luck this week Rachel, we are with you

Just checked court serve and it is listed for all the following week too. So starts on the 5th and ends on the 14th July.

Gonna have to order in a job lot of Tunnocks. 😋

This is such an important case because social workers work directly with women and girls - it will affect how social workers work and what trainee social workers are taught as well as being legally and symbolically important.

ickky · 01/07/2023 21:33

I think the case starts on 5th July.

Here is a video from Rachel.

This is so sad. Poor woman. Such an important case in terms of professional regulation.

Princessglittery · 02/07/2023 09:50

This is a big case as it involves not just a public sector employer (Westminster City Council) but also a professional body Social Work England (SWE).

The fact that Rachel is still facing discrimination after the fitness to practice hearing was discontinued - SWE found no case to answer, is disgraceful.

A win could shake up a lot of institutions.

AutumnCrow · 02/07/2023 10:02

This one had dropped off my radar. Thank you for the timely reminder of this important hearing.

Boiledbeetle · 02/07/2023 10:14

She still needs some gardening to be done if you get a chance to go out and plant a bulb or two.

Next week is going to be a busy legal week!
