But they do. To say they don’t is rather silly!

It's not a right to say homosexuality doesn't exist.

So what rights are they opposing? What rights do they want taken away from trans people that everyone else would still have?

titchy · 05/10/2022 19:18

What specific rights do they oppose Mishi? Perhaps you could also post screenshots of their website showing evidence?

ControversialOpening · 05/10/2022 19:24

Yeah come on mishy, I’m curious too. Let us know which trans rights LGBA opposes.

ControversialOpening · 05/10/2022 19:25

… Is it the right to have paedophile apologists as trustees for trans youth charities?

respectmysex · 05/10/2022 19:33

I think it's the right to create, maintain and lobby for safeguarding loopholes and exemptions for trans people.

Knittingmonster · 05/10/2022 19:35

I think it’s the right to never hear the word no.

ReunitedThorns · 05/10/2022 19:36

Paul Brand is not to be trusted, his husband is a senior civil servant at Downing Street, who conveniently was never involved in any of the parties. Brand also mysteriously always gets scoops on what goes on with the civil service and gets exclusives such as the dropping of the "conversation therapy" ban, but apparently his such is not his husband. He is also a trustee at an LGBT charity.

Knittingmonster · 05/10/2022 19:45

Wonder if @MishyJDI will ever come back and explain the rights LGBA oppose.

JunebuginDecember · 05/10/2022 19:48

Some good ol' mumsnet dogpiling...never gets old...

Asking questions is dogpiling now? Or is the fact more than one person wants to know the same thing problematic now?

Blister · 05/10/2022 22:04

X says BLA.
no they didn't.
Yes they did.
Where and when did they say that?
Silence.
I want to know too!
Me too!
Me too!
Stop asking, you're pilng on.

Right...

What's wrong with Brand being a trustee of an LGBT charity...?

Kinda obvious. They clearly do little for us who are LGB. They just go on and on about the trans. I mean leave those poor people alone. What do they do for me? Nothing. Hate group pure and simple, even classified as such overseas. Where are they campaigning for LGB and leaving trans alone? Oh.... they dont. So what are they? well... a hate group. Its kinda clear... to take an alternative view.....yeah well you aint queer dear. x

How about you educate yourself here( lgballiance.org.uk/campaigns/ ) about the many things they do for LGB people.

💅

LaughingPriest · 14/10/2022 00:04

So no-one can even say what rights LGBA "oppose".

I feel genuinely sad that people feel they have to be dishonest to (attempt to) discuss this.

'Kinda obvious', and yet you still haven't managed to mention any.

For those of us too dumb to understand the 'kinda obvious' rights the LGBA 'oppose' please, please clearly state them.

Its not obvious. Please be clear. Which rights do they oppose? Specifically. Your post is very um.. how to put this nicely...how much wine did you have before posting?

I mean, firstly, are you ok there Mishy?

Secondly, didn’t you know according to some LGBT spokesperson, we are all either homosexual or bisexual. And ‘queer’? That includes spicy straight people. So, again you seem to be missing the point rather spectacularly in trying to tell people they ‘ain’t queer dear’!

Just the usual missing the point hilariousness.

Now, LGB Alliance has been around for such a short time. Only a matter of a few years. And a time period significantly impacted by Covid lock downs too.

Care to list EXACTLY what Stonewall achieved in the first 2 years? 3 years?

Anything?

How strange that you are here complaining about how LGB Alliance have done nothing, whereas they have already had successes and more successes compared to the initial start up of Stonewall. unless you can produce successes no one else has been able to yet when asked, and I look forward to that.

leaving trans alone? You seem to have lost your memory here or is it comprehension.

And ‘trans’? Trans what Mishy? Are you using dehumanising language here? Trans what? Trans people? Issues relating to gender identity? What?

LGB Alliance are quite clear here. They want to leave ‘trans issues’ ‘alone’. But don’t seem to be allowed to.

By the way, LGB Alliance include ‘trans people’ if they want to join. They represent the interests, though, of people who are L, G and B. They leave the ‘spicy straights’ to Stonewall.

Looking forward to that list of successes that Stonewall had in the first years, Mishy.

Igneococcus · 14/10/2022 06:36

even classified as such overseas.

Where overseas and by which organisation?

ApocalipstickNow · 14/10/2022 07:08

So Mish- if I want to march against the LGBA and draw attention to all the rights they oppose, well, that placard’s looking a bit blank isn’t it?

Bit “what do we want?”
”We’re not going to tell you!”
”When do we want it?”
”Cheese!”

(Also I’ve kissed a couple of women and dyed my hair all sort of colour so I can slip myself into the Q box can’t I? That’s how it works these days isn’t it? Don’t speak for me Mishy)

WinterTrees · 14/10/2022 07:41

Mishi seems to be saying that LGBA oppose trans rights because they don't actively campaign for them.

It's that old male entitlement thing rearing its head again isn't it? When you're used to privilege, other people having equality feels like oppression
