Roberts is stating that he simply cannot entertain the idea that LGBA might be acting in good faith.

Not the best way to demonstrate reasonableness.

I think they think that this is a Twitter spat. Where they can say anything and it will be believed. But when read out in court it sounds unhinged.

So what he's saying is that even though LGBA think they are in good faith, they are secretly unbeknownst even to themselves actually acting in bad faith.

Exactly - this is the type of stuff it always comes down to. Good to hear them have to explicitly say it in court rather than just ignore the question like they always, always do.
