In the Times, quite prominently placed in the News section:

@SecretTransTwitterEngineer having more Twitter followers is not an endorsement of their actions. People will follow accounts for all sorts of reasons. From what I've read, more followers and posters on social media have been critical of SA, not supportive.

"Will Evans, its chief executive, said: “Christian’s tweet has caused hurt amongst our community. This hurt is understandably being extended as a reflection on Spitfire Audio, its collaborators and its employees. I’m deeply sorry for that; we’ve worked hard to be a beacon for the industry and have a responsibility to do better."

Grovel much? This is abject (and pathetic}.

Thanks, LK.

In the real world, people disagree with each other all the time and get on with their lives, where they no doubt have plenty of other things to worry about.

Not in the world of gender ideology, however, where being exposed to opposing views is intolerable. Rowling’s name now has such power to hurt, it seems, that people have to be protected from unexpected exposure to it on social media. And another human being finds himself metaphorically in Siberia, just for daring to write the forbidden syllables.

Spot on!

Had a bit of a look around Twitter and it seems someone called Hannah who moderated for their pianobook product suspended their moderation activty after Christian's tweet and resumed moderation after Christian was sent home to think about doing better. Hannah has pronouns in "her" bio and tweets a lot about trans rights...

Got the name wrong, the name is Harriet.

Yes, Glinner had a post about her: grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/the-real-revenge-of-the-nerds

"Coercive compassion.
“Be nice or you’re out”

From the Joan Smith article:
unherd.com/thepost/defend-rowling-defenders/

That is spot-on!

"Coercive compassion, be nice or you're out." Brilliant - tells it, as it is!

Of course, it only ever applies to the sacred caste.

So very much coercive, but compassion? No. Fuck all compassion.

Rightsraptor · 09/09/2022 05:21

I'm very disappointed Joan Smith's article was so short. I was just getting into it and then it ended.

She's totally right, of course, and Will Evans's mealy-mouthed statement contains the buzz words of the wokester - inclusive, community, hurt, do better. Is there an Apology Committee that drafts these things for them to put out?

Spineless man.
