Anyone know what this is all about?

I'm working through the 40-page MN mega thread to get up to speed seems a better use of time than going on safari elsewhere.

Ok, I get it now or at least why a contingent of MNers seems happy to support it.

It goes after pedos and dangerous trans activists with a fair amount of intelligence and due diligence and isn't cowed into pursuing 'justice' to the furthest ends and that the support of free speech however unpleasant that might be is worth defending.

Furthermore porn sites, Facebook and Twitter are big industrial monoliths above the fray and picking on a lonely barely noticed dark corner of the internet is about proportionality.

That said I have no desire to go onto the site (found it in the end) because it is indeed unpleasant, life's too short and I can barely understand the language that they use. But I shall back away from my earlier statements and leave you to it.

I just re-read the earlier posts in this thread. I'd have added my update to the older thread here on the farms here (the one linked on the first page) but that appears to have expired due to age as I couldn't reply to it. So I figured here would be better than making a whole new thread. But I now realise how much misinformation there is in this thread. There's a lot of "repeat a lie often enough..." stuff where the Farms is concerned. So just to be clear, they don't dox people - they archive public information, the "caused three suicides" thing was a lie and debunked also. I'd link you to the very thorough and clear rebuttal on the Farms regarding this matter but until the Farms is back up, I can't. :(

Okay. It's fine and large on my computer. When I upload it to MN it gets shrunk for some reason. I don't know how to fix it.

But honestly, I've made a significant mistake in adding my reply to this thread and not the other. I think I'm going to add my reply there and maybe ask people to ignore this one. There doesn't seem to be a way for me to delete my posts here.

And case in point this is why it was an error on my part to reply to this acrimonious thread filled with misinfo rather than the other one. It's re-opened this old micro-debate. I wish their were some way for me to delete my posts. I'll see if I can ping a mod.
